摘要: A method is provided for controlling operation of a power tool, such as a drill driver. The method begins with one or more descriptors for a fastening application being received by a controller residing in the power tool, where the descriptors are indicative of a fastening application to be performed by the power tool and are received via a wireless data link from a computing device located remotely from the power tool. The descriptors are translated into a threshold value used by a fastener setting algorithm and the threshold value is stored in a data store of the power tool. During a subsequent fastening operation performed using the tool, an operating parameter of the power tool is monitored and evaluated in accordance with the fastener setting algorithm, including the updated threshold value. Example operating parameters include current delivered to the motor and speed of the motor.

摘要: An auto-feeding permanent magnet drill comprising a first permanent magnet capable of being removeably coupled to a magnetic material. A coupler plate couples to the first permanent magnet. A drill frame couples to the coupler plate, the coupler plate providing an interface to couple the first permanent magnet to the frame. User interfaces are provided to enable control for powering the drill, enabling a drill or cutter bit auto-feed feature, enabling a lubrication system and enabling a mechanical adjustment system. An electric drill is coupled to the frame, the electric drill coupled to the auto-feed feature and electronically coupled to the user interfaces. A lubrication reservoir couples to a second permanent magnet capable of coupling the lubrication reservoir to a magnetic material or work surface. A flexible distribution tube delivers lubricant from the lubrication reservoir to a nozzle, the nozzle oriented towards the cutting surface and capable of distributing lubricating fluid to the cutting surface or rotating drill bit components during a drilling operation.

摘要: A power tool has a continuously variable transmission, a condition detection device, and an operation control device. The continuously variable transmission changes a velocity of a rotational output from a drive motor and outputs the rotational output to a spindle to which a tip end tool is mounted. The condition detection device detects a condition of the power tool. The operation control device determines a target RPM of the spindle based on the condition of the power tool detected by the condition detection device, and controls an RPM of the drive motor and/or a transmission gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission based on the target RPM.

The method encompasses the following method steps:setting the rotational speed of the drive at a first value;measuring a first power consumption value for the drive;setting a threshold value for the power consumption of the drive; andincreasing the rotational speed of the drive to a second value if the power consumption of the drive (10) exceeds the threshold value due to an increase in the drive load.The power tool includes a drive (10) to drive a tool (3) and a control unit (40) to control at least the rotational speed of the drive.

摘要: An electronic drill with revolving replaceable drilling heads includes a housing, a driving unit, a rotary cover, and a plurality of drill heads. The housing has an opening, a through hole, a containing room connected therebetween. A motor container is disposed within the containing room to contain a motor of the driving unit. The rotary cover is assembled to the housing and is rotatable so that the plurality of drill heads coupled to the rotary cover is moveable freely in a rotary track between the motor container and the housing. One of the drill heads may be rotated to be aligned with a rotary hole of a gear set driven by the motor and pushed forward for use. The drill head can also be retracted backward and replaced in the electronic drill by rotating the rotary cover, so that another drill head can be pushed outward for use.

摘要: A power tool has a handle and a body. The handle is provided with a battery. A motor is fixed inside a shell of the tool. An impeller is driven by the motor to create an air current to cool the motor and the battery. A plurality of air outlets are formed in the shell at a position corresponding to the impeller. An air current channel is formed inside the handle and the body and connected to the environment via holes in an enclosure of the battery. A part of the air current passes through the air current channel to cool the battery before reaching the motor.

摘要: A power drill shiftable between at least two operational modes has a drill housing, a brushless dc motor in the housing, a drive spindle rotatable about an axis, and a chuck body adjacent the housing. Two elements interconnected by a screwthread are relatively axially shiftable on relative rotation about the axis, and gripping jaws between the chuck body and one of the elements are relatively shiftable radially of the axis on relative axial shifting of the elements. A drive sleeve rotatable by the motor about the axis is connected to the other of the elements. A member is shiftable between positions corresponding to the operational modes of the power drill. A sensor detects which mode the power drill is in, and motor-control means connected between the sensor and the motor adjusts a parameter of the motor as a function of the mode detected by the sensor.

摘要: A power tool (10) is described which has several modes of operation, such as drilling and screw driving modes. A clutch is provided with various settings for adjusting the torque at which the clutch interrupts power to a spindle (18). Furthermore, a two speed gearbox (16) is provided for adjusting the speed of the spindle. All of these variables are controllable from a single adjustment member or collar (26) thereby reducing necessary decisions needed to be made by an operator for a particular job in hand. For instance, when an operator wants the tool to operate in a screw driving mode, the gearbox is automatically set to drive the spindle at a low speed with the clutch being operable to interrupt drive when a torque force applied to the spindle exceeds a threshold value. Furthermore, if the tool is required to operate in a drilling mode, the gearbox is automatically switched to drive the spindle at a higher speed and the clutch is automatically rendered inoperable.
