    摘要: A novel fluorine-containing aromatic compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein X is ##STR2## in which R.sub.f is a perfluoroalkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms,R.sub.f ' is a perfluoroalkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms,p is an integer of 1 to 3,q is an integer of 0 to 3,r is 0 or 1,s is an integer of 0 to 5and t is an integer of 0 to 5,Y is X, a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms or a fluoroalkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, andeach A is independently ##STR3## in which D is an amino, carboxyl, hydroxyl, methyl or haloformyl group, and n is an integer of 1 or 2, or ##STR4## can be used to derive various compounds, some of which are useful for preparing a fluorine-containing epoxy compound of polyimide with good properties.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a glycidyl ether of a di-secondary alcohol with a monomer content of about 80% to about 90% of the formula (I) ##STR1## comprising the steps of: (a) reacting a di-secondary alcohol of the formula (II) ##STR2## with epichlorohydrin in the presence of an alkali and a phase transfer catalyst to produce a glycidyl ether with a monomer content of about 60% to about 75%; and(b) reacting said glycidyl ether with a monomer content of about 60% to about 75% with epichlorohydrin in the presence of an alkali and benzyltrimethylammonium chloride to produce a glycidyl ether of a di-secondary alcohol with a monomer content of about 80% to about 90%.

    摘要: A process is disclosed for preparing a low-chlorine epoxy resin which employs crystallization of the epoxy from solution in a finishing step of the preparation process. The process involves (a) contacting, in a basic reaction medium, epichlorohydrin and a biphenol to produce a reaction product mixture containing a diglycidyl ether of the biphenol; (b) dissolving the diglycidyl ether in an organic solvent and, optionally, contacting the diglycidyl ether with a dehydrochlorination agent; and (c) reducing the temperature of the organic solvent so as to effect crystallization of a low-chlorine fraction of the diglycidyl ether.

    摘要: Tetrafunctional amine derivatives of digyclidyl ethers of Bisphenol A that are liquid at ambient temperatures and that are useful as curing agents for epoxy resins are disclosed together with the method by which they are prepared which comprises the steps of:dissolving the diglycidyl ether in a solvent (acetone or methyl ethyl ketone) and adding a polyoxyalkylene diamine in the mole ratio of about 4 to about 5 moles of the diglycidyl ether per mole of said polyoxyalkylene diamine to provide an initial reaction mixture,heating the initial reaction mixture with agitation at a temperature of about 80.degree. to about 160.degree. C. for about 1 to about 4 hours sufficient to permit the diglycidyl ether to quantitatively react with the polyoxyalkylene diamine and to substantially completely volatilize the solvent to thereby form an intermediate reaction product,adding to the intermediate reaction product about 4 moles or more of a polyoxyethylene diamine per mol of initially used polyoxyalkylene diamine and heating the thus-formed second reaction mixture at a temperature of about 100.degree. to about 150.degree. C. for about 0.5 to about 5 hours, to form the tetrafunctional amine derivative.
