    摘要: A three-phase electrical connection system includes a socket, a plug, and a two-part magnetic indexing device with two parts, one being fastened to the socket and the other being integral with the plug. Both parts have an annular yoke and a magnet set comprising three permanent magnets. The yoke comprises ferromagnetic material, an axis of revolution, and at least one revolution support face formed in a plane transverse to the axis of revolution. The face is divided into three distinct annular portions, each of which extends one-hundred and twenty degrees of arc. The three magnets are attached to a distinct annular portion of the yoke and are spaced from one another by a first non-zero angular interval. The magnets all have the same magnetic orientation parallel to the axis of revolution. The magnets of the two part are attracted to each other.

    摘要: An engaging device in a Mass-Interconnect, which provides an apparatus and method to change test adapters for testing applications. An engaging device of a Mass-Interconnect includes an interchangeable test adapter (ITA) and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism includes a plunger having a plunger head at a first end thereof, a leaflet insert disposed over the plunger, a sleeve disposed over the leaflet insert, an over-dead-center (ODC) link connected to the plunger at a second end thereof opposite to the first end, and a rotatable handle connected to the ODC link. The plunger, the leaflet insert, and the sleeve of the locking mechanism engage or disengage the ITA when a user rotates the rotatable handle.

    摘要: Rapid edge-coupling and decoupling of circuits is effected by current carrying magnets. The magnets are preferably neodymium iron boron for magnetic strength, although other suitable magnetic compositions are contemplated. As used herein, the term “magnet” includes both one or more magnetic materials, and any electrically conductive protective or other coating about the magnetic material(s). In preferred embodiments at least one of the magnets is slidable in at least a first degree of freedom. Movement of the magnet is constrained by a mechanical guide, which can optionally have curved sides. Electrical current can be carried to/from the magnet through an electrical path on or in a substrate, and in some embodiments through sides of the mechanical guide. In various embodiments, the electrical path might or might not extend to the edge of the substrate.
