Abstract: Managing prefix lists at edge devices can include detecting, at an edge device, a traffic flow that can include a packet that specifies a destination address. The edge device can measure a bandwidth associated with the traffic flow, identify a flow bandwidth threshold defined for the edge device, and determine if the bandwidth associated with the traffic flow satisfies the flow bandwidth threshold. If a determination is made that the bandwidth associated with the traffic flow satisfies the flow bandwidth threshold, the edge device can include the destination address in a prefix list stored at the edge device. If a determination is made that the bandwidth associated with the traffic flow does not satisfy the flow bandwidth threshold, the edge device can omit the destination address from the prefix list stored at the edge device.

Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards an integrated short message service (SMS) function and short message service center function that delivers mobile terminated messages by selecting among access domains for to endpoints based on their capabilities, e.g., 5G, 5G+, LTE WI-FI, including multimode capabilities. The integrated SMS function determines attributes (e.g., capabilities) of a user equipment destination device for a mobile terminated message, obtains contextual data (e.g., current device reachability, network conditions) for the device, and determines which access and mobility management function (AMF) or mobility management entity (MME) is associated with the device. Based on the various obtained information, the integrated SMS function selects an appropriate access domain based on the capabilities and contextual data, and if the device is reachable, correctly routes the message for delivery. Retry operations can be set up for devices that are not currently reachable.

Abstract: The technologies described herein are generally directed to modeling radio wave propagation in a fifth generation (5G) network or other next generation networks. For example, a method described herein can include, for a network application, identifying, by a system comprising a processor, a first performance characteristic of first base station equipment, wherein the first base station equipment is actively communicating with a user equipment via a first network connection. Abstract: A processing system may obtain a customer identifier at a first retail location of a telecommunication network service provider, determine a recency factor of the identifier, obtain an identification of items of interest to the customer, and determine whether the customer has visited a second retail location of the provider within a time period prior to the customer being at the first retail location. The processing system may then apply, to a fraud detection machine learning model, a plurality of factors comprising: a quantity of items of interest, a value of the items, a factor associated with whether the customer has visited the second retail location within the time period, and the recency factor, where the fraud detection machine learning model outputs a fraud indicator value, determine that the fraud indicator value meets a warning threshold and present a warning to a device at the first retail location.
