Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may determine a relationship between preamble sequences of a preamble portion of a random access message and resources for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sequences and physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) occasions of a payload portion of a random access message. The base station may map some preamble sequences to some of the DMRS sequences and PUSCH payloads within a mapping period. The base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), an indication of the mapping rule between the preamble sequences and the DMRS sequences and payloads. The UE may transmit, based on determining the relationship, at least one preamble sequence in a preamble occasion and at least one DMRS sequence and one payload of the random access message in a PUSCH occasion based on the configured mapping rule.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems may support flexible waveform configuration for autonomous uplink transmissions. A base station may transmit broadcast signaling (e g , a system information block (SIB)) indicating waveform configuration information for an autonomous uplink transmission by a user equipment (UE). In some cases, the broadcast signaling may include a waveform configuration field (WCF) that may indicate whether flexible waveforms for autonomous uplink are supported, may configure a waveform type, may indicate waveform configuration mapping rules, etc. As such, a UE may identify whether flexible waveform configuration for autonomous uplink is supported, and may determine waveform types for autonomous uplink transmissions based on waveform type configuration information from a base station (e.g., which may include an indication of whether flexible waveform configuration is supported, an indication of waveform type/scenario mapping rules, etc.), one or more LUTs, identified autonomous uplink scenarios, autonomous uplink transmission parameters, or some combination thereof.

The method includes identifying a task status for a current checkpoint of the plurality of checkpoints, the task status indicating a status of one or more tasks corresponding to the current checkpoint. The method includes sending a report to a communication device indicating the task status for the current checkpoint.

Abstract: In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) determines a resource configuration and a transmit power for a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble sequence and/or a configuration and a transmit power for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource unit (PRU) based on positioning information of the UE relative to the base station, the speed of the UE relative to the base station, and/or a radio resource control (RRC) state of the UE, transmits, to the base station, a message comprising the PRACH preamble sequence on a PRACH occasion and a payload on a PRU occasion based on the determined resource configuration and transmit power for the PRACH preamble sequence and/or the determined resource configuration and transmit power for the PRU, and receives, from the base station, a second message comprising information on a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) and a payload on a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH).

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for communicating based on improved signaling. A base station can transmit an indication of resources in time and frequency to a UE allocated for NOMA communication with the UE. The indication of resources can comprise a set of NA-RUs. The UE can then transmit uplink NOMA communication to the base station based on the indication of resources received from the base station. Also, the base station can transmit a compact UL resource grant via DCI, or signal the semi-static transport format configuration via RRC, to the UEs allocated for NOMA communication. The DCI or the payload of RRC signaling can be scrambled with a NOMA group RNTI, as well as comprise NOMA transmission parameters indicated by a MCS table. The UE can then transmit uplink NOMA communication to the base station based on the DCI or the RRC signaling.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to power reduction measures that can be employed by wireless user equipment (UE) participating in an extended reality (XR) application. A wireless UE, while operating in a first power state, may receive, from an XR service provider, a plurality of packets corresponding to a video frame. The UE may reassemble and decode the received packets to reproduce the video frame. Once the UE determines it has received information sufficient to reproduce the video frame, the UE may enter a second power state, different from the first power state, for a predetermined amount of time.
