Abstract: A client device executes a first interactive application that includes an embedded advertising player module. As the user interacts with the first interactive application, a condition is detected, causing the advertising player module to transmit a request for a second interactive application. The second interactive application may be developed to run in the same or different computing environment than the first interactive application. The second interactive application is executed by a remote server, and screen display outputs are generated in response. In response to the screen display outputs, the server generates video frames or rendering commands and streams the frames or commands to the advertising module to generate a display on the client device. The advertising player module receives interaction data for interacting with the second interactive application, and forwards such interaction data to the server. The second interactive application provides an output in response to the second interaction data.

Abstract: Coding a current block using multi-level compound predictor is disclosed. A method includes generating a first compound predictor by combining at least two predictor blocks for the current block, generating a second predictor for the current block, and combining the first compound predictor and the second predictor to obtain a prediction block for encoding or decoding the current block. An indicator may be sent from the encoder to the decoder to indicate when multi-level compound prediction is used to encode a block.

Abstract: A watermark image may be generated that includes a first set of encoded pixels each of which is assigned a first transparency value and a second set of encoded pixels each of which is assigned a second transparency value, the second transparency level being different from the first transparency level. The encoded pixels may be distributed among a set of blank pixels such that each encoded pixel neighbors one or more blank pixels in the watermark image, and in particular at least two blank pixels in the watermark image. Herein, each blank pixel may be assigned the second transparency value. The watermark image may be overlaid and blended over a background source image to create an encoded source image. A decoder system may recover encoded information from the encoded source image.

Abstract: Systems and methods for joining a device to a fabric using an assisting device include an indication to add a joining device to a fabric. If the joining device supports network-assisted fabric pairing, a first connection is established between a commissioning device and the assisting device. The assisting device also connects to a joining device. Through the assisting device, the commissioning device and the joining device establish a communication channel over which fabric credentials may be sent.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for improving endpoint detection of a voice query submitted by a user. In some implementations, a synchronized video data and audio data is received. A sequence of frames of the video data that includes images corresponding to lip movement on a face is determined. The audio data is endpointed based on first audio data that corresponds to a first frame of the sequence of frames and second audio data that corresponds to a last frame of the sequence of frames. A transcription of the endpointed audio data is generated by an automated speech recognizer. The generated transcription is then provided for output.

Abstract: An automated interface generates a tree of design actions based on a predetermined set of functions and relationship information, each intermediary node of the tree representing a partial user interface design, and each branch of the tree representing a design action that creates or modifies the partial user interface design. A plurality of candidate user interface designs are determined, each implementing the received plurality of functions, by traversing the tree along multiple traversal paths from a root node of the tree to respective leaf nodes of the tree and executing respective design actions represented by branches along the traversal paths. A completed interface design is selected from the plurality of completed interface designs based on a predetermined selection algorithm, and the final user interface is generated based on the selected candidate user interface design.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for detecting and ranking entities identified in screen content displayed on a mobile device. For example, a method includes receiving an image captured from a mobile device display for a mobile application and determining a window that includes a chronological set of images, the images each representing a respective screen captured from a display of a mobile device and having an associated timestamp. The method also includes identifying entities appearing in images in a first portion of the window using text for images in a remaining portion of the window as context to disambiguate ambiguous entity references.
