Abstract:
A door closing mechanism which includes a hydraulic rotation damper, having a closed cylinder cavity within a cylinder barrel, a rotational damper shaft which extends into the cylinder cavity, a piston dividing the cylinder cavity into a first side above the piston and a second side below the piston, a one-way valve allowing fluid flow from said first side to said second side of the cylinder cavity, and a fluid passage between said first and second sides of the cylinder cavity, with a flow restrictor, in particular in the form of a needle valve, adjustable through an orifice in the cylinder barrel, wherein said second side of the cylinder cavity and said orifice are at opposite sides of the flow restrictor.
Abstract:
An assembly for an automatic garage door including a slide bar, a motor, and a drive assembly connected to the slide bar, and a tie connected to the garage door; the assembly including a first “C” bracket having a lower web, the first “C” bracket receiving the slide bar and the motor and drive assembly being operatively connected to the first “C” bracket for longitudinally moving the first “C” bracket; a second “C” bracket having a lower web, the second “C” bracket nestingly receiving the first “C” bracket, and the tie being further connected to the second “C” bracket; a latching mechanism incorporated within the first and second “C” brackets' lower webs, the latching mechanism being adapted for resisting movements of the first and second “C” brackets away from each other; and a third “C” bracket having lower web, the third “C” bracket nestingly receiving the second “C” bracket.
Abstract:
A retrofit conversion kit for facilitating the conversion of a door operating apparatus conventionally mounted above the door, to a position mounted and anchored underground for operating a swinging door therefrom. The conversion to an anchored underground position is facilitated by incorporating positional adjustment mechanisms covering any or all possible adjustment dimensions.
Abstract:
The device for decelerating at least the closing rotation of a furniture hinge, comprises a container housing a first rotating friction element in contact at a first friction surface with the bottom of the container, a second fixed friction element overlapped to the first rotating friction element with which it is in contact at a second friction surface, and at least a third rotating friction element overlapped to the second fixed friction element with which it is in contact with at least a third friction surface, constraint means between the first friction element and the third friction element, a slider movable along a direction of translation at least during closing rotation and kinematic means for conversion of the translation of the slider into a rotation of the first and third friction element in such a manner as to create a dragging friction at the first, second and third friction surface.
Abstract:
A hinge mechanism having a vehicle bracket that includes a pawl engagement member extending therefrom. A horizontally-rotating swing arm is rotatably coupled with the vehicle bracket. The hinge mechanism includes a pawl with an engagement portion and an abutment portion. The pawl is connected with the swing arm and operable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. A door bracket is rotatably coupled with the swing arm. A lever actuation member extends from the door bracket and is aligned to engage the abutment portion of the pawl.
Abstract:
A container apparatus is provided in which a large space is not required in front of a housing for a door to be moved between a closed position and an open position.A housing 2 has an opening in a front surface 2a. A first attachment member 20 is attached to an inner surface of a side portion of the housing 2. A second attachment member 30 is attached to a rear surface 3a of a door 3 that opens and closes the opening of the housing 2. First, second and third links 41, 42, 43 are disposed between the first attachment member 20 and the second attachment member 30. The first attachment member 20, the second attachment member 30, and the first, second and third links 42, 43, 41 constitute a parallel link mechanism. This arrangement enables the door 3 to be translated.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a hinge arrangement, in particular refrigerator housing comprising a refrigerator door pivotably articulated thereto, with a first part, with a second part pivotably articulated to the first part via a hinge, with a piston cylinder damping unit, which is operatively arranged between the first part and the second part for damping a pivoting movement of the two parts relative to one another, and which is articulated to at least one part.
Abstract:
A multi-part drive shaft for a transit vehicle door comprises an upper drive shaft connected to a door operating mechanism and having a door panel operating arm extending therefrom, a lower drive shaft journaled for rotation, a door panel operating arm extending therefrom and a flexible drive shaft secured at one end to the upper drive shaft and at the other end to the lower drive shaft. Rotation of the upper drive shaft will transfer torque to the lower drive shaft at the same angular speed.
Abstract:
A door opening and closing device for a slide door, which can be horizontally open and close the slide door by application of a light load and which can be constructed and maintained at low costs. The door opening and closing device has a transmission mechanism for converting through a lever (31) the amount of settlement of a tread plate (21) placed on floor surfaces at positions in front and back of the slide door (12), into a predetermined displacement amount. The tread plate (21) is weight-wise balanced such that the transmission mechanism and settlement of the tread plate due to the weight of an adjustment weight (W) causes the tread plate (21) to float through the lever (31). Up-down movement of the long transmission member (32) presses a drive rotation body (42) to an open door rail (41), and a component force of the pressing force allows the slide door (12) to be opened by application of a light load.
Abstract:
A hinge assembly for vertical-movement doors comprises two articulated-quadrilateral hinges each including a first plate designed to be fastened to the furniture flanks, a second plate designed to be fastened to the door and two superposed arms pivotally mounted between the plates to form the quadrilateral connecting-rods. The assembly comprises brackets for removable fastening of the bar ends to the hinges, where the brackets can be alternatively mounted at two different fastening seats present at locations spaced apart from each other, along the upper arm of each hinge.
