Abstract:
A method for performing fractional beamforming using a massive antenna array at a Base Station (BS) in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method includes dividing the massive antenna array by rows or by columns into partitions, receiving feedback information about the partitions from a User Equipment (UE), determining sub-precoders for the partitions based on the feedback information, and transmitting a signal to the UE by performing beamforming using the sub-precoders and a linking precoder that links the partitions to each other.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for transceiving a signal in a wireless communication system. A method for transceiving a signal in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: deducing a channel from a transmission antenna of a transceiver; generating a reference signal by combining the deduced channel and a transmission signal from the transmission antenna; converting the reference signal into an analog signal; receiving a data signal and a self-interference signal by means of a reception antenna of the transceiver; and canceling the self-interference signal from the received data signal by means of the converted reference signal, wherein deducing a channel and combining signals are performed in the digital domain and discarding the self-interference signal is performed in the analog domain.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting a reference signal to a user equipment at a base station in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method includes transmitting the reference signal to the user equipment according to a first pattern corresponding to a first rank and, if a rank is changed from the first rank to a second rank, transmitting the reference signal to the user equipment according to a second pattern corresponding to the second rank, wherein, if the second rank is greater than the first rank, the second pattern includes the first pattern. Preferably, the first pattern is a reference signal pattern for a single rank and the second pattern is defined as a hierarchical structure in which one or more reference signal symbols are added to the first pattern in a time domain direction.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing effective feedback in a wireless communication system supporting multiple antennas. A method for transmitting CSI of downlink transmission via uplink in a wireless communication system includes transmitting a joint-coded rank indicator (RI) and a first wideband (WB) precoding matrix indicator (PMI) at a first subframe, and transmitting a wideband channel quality indicator (WB CQI) and a second WB PMI at a second subframe. A user equipment (UE) preferred precoding matrix is indicated by a combination of the first PMI and the second PMI. If the RI is Rank-1 or Rank-2, the first PMI indicates one of subsets each having 8 indexes from among 16 indexes of the first PMI of a precoding codebook.
Abstract:
A method is described for receiving a downlink control information (DCI) from a base station (BS) by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The method includes monitoring a plurality of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates having the same payload size in a common search space and a UE-specific search space on a primary cell to receive the DCI. The common search space and the UE-specific search space are overlapped. If the UE is configured with a carrier indicator field (CIF), the method further includes determining that only a PDCCH in the common search space is transmitted from among the plurality of PDCCH candidates.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting signals at a User Equipment (UE) in a multi-antenna wireless communication system is discussed. The method includes receiving an uplink grant from a Base Station (BS); transmitting transport blocks and Reference Signals (RSs) for the transport blocks via a plurality of layers based on the uplink grant to the BS; receiving Negative ACKnowledgment (NACK) information for at least one transport block among the transport blocks from the BS; and retransmitting the at least one transport block and the RS for the at least one transport block via at least one layer to the BS.
Abstract:
The present invention provides methods and apparatus for controlling and resolving a handover failure when a dynamic cell off is occurred during a handover procedure. According to one aspect of the present invention, a method for preventing a handover failure in a wireless access system supporting cell-on/off includes initiating a handover procedure to a target Base Station (BS) by a User Equipment (UE), receiving cell off indication information indicating that a cell of the target BS will be powered off by the UE, and discontinuing the handover procedure according to the cell off indication information by the UE.
Abstract:
The present application provides methods for controlling a small cell on or off procedure in a Small cell specific Gate Way (S-GW). One of the methods comprises steps of receiving a cell indication message from a Source Small Cell (SSC), the cell indication message includes a cell state change indication parameter indicating whether the SSC is to be on or off and a cell on/off timer parameter indicating a time duration for a cell on process or a cell off process; transmitting request message requesting to expand or shrink a cell coverage of a Target Small Cell (TSC) according to the cell state change indication parameter; and receiving a complete indication message indicating the cell on process or the cell off process is complete after the time duration indicated by the cell on/off timer parameter from the SSC.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting channel status information (CSI) of downlink multi-carrier transmission includes generating the CSI including at least one of a rank indicator (RI), a first precoding matrix index (PMI), a second PMI and a channel quality indicator (CQI) for one or more downlink carriers, the CQI being calculated based on precoding information determined by a combination of the first and second PMIS, determining, when two or more CSIs collide with one another in one uplink subframe of one uplink carrier, a CSI to be transmitted on the basis of priority, and transmitting the determined CSI over a uplink channel. If a CSI including an RI or a wideband first PMI collides with a CSI including a wideband CQI or a subband CQI, the CSI including a wideband CQI or a subband CQI has low priority and is dropped.
