Abstract: The present disclosure provides apparatuses, systems, methods, and machine readable storage medium for communications in a Narrow Band Internet of Things (NB-IoT) system in a sub-1 GHz band. In an embodiment, an apparatus for a user equipment (UE) includes a memory interface and a processor. The memory interface is operable to receive a configuration of a frame from a memory, the frame is to be used for communications in a Narrow Band Internet of Things (NB-IoT) system in a sub-1 GHz band, wherein the frame includes one or more anchor channels and one or more data channels. The processor is operable to encode uplink (UL) communication data for a base station or decode downlink (DL) communication data from the base station based on the configuration of the frame.

Abstract: Systems and methods of measuring reference signals in a multefire scenario are described. A UE receives control information anchor channel dependent on whether the UE is in an adaptive frequency hopping system (FHS) and whether the FHS is a LBT FHS. The reference signals are received on an unlicensed band via the anchor and/or a non-anchor channel and measured for RRM and/or in-sync or out-of-sync measurements. RRM measurements are transmitted to the eNB for mobility management and otherwise the validity of an in- or out-of-sync indication is determined and a counter started when valid. The control information has a subframe configuration and resource allocation, which is used for SRS transmission on the non-anchor channel. Uplink scheduling information is received on the anchor channel for data transmission on the non-anchor channel based on the SRS.

Abstract: Disclosed are apparatuses for communication devices. An apparatus for a communication device includes control circuitry configured to determine a discrete Fourier transform (DFT) of a constant amplitude zero autocorrelation waveform (CAZAC) sequence appended with zeros in the time domain to generate a frequency domain interpolated CAZAC sequence. The control circuitry is also configured to determine an inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT) of the frequency domain interpolated CAZAC sequence to generate a demodulation reference signal (DMRS), and cause the DMRS to be transmitted through a cellular data network. An apparatus for a communication device includes control circuitry configured to perform a Fourier transform on a received DMRS to obtain a resulting signal, and use the resulting signal as a reference to demodulate orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols. The control circuitry is also configured to perform a minimum mean squares estimation (MMSE) channel estimation on the resulting signal.

The anchor channel can include a clear channel assessment (CCA) period, an extended CCA (eCCA) period when a failure occurs during the CCA period, a tuning period for radio frequency (RF) retuning with frequency hopping, and a control information communication period for communication of the control information.

A user equipment (UE) receives signals from a plurality of transmission and reception points (TRPs). A cellular base station may serve as a source base station of a handover procedure from the source base station to a target non-terrestrial network (NTN) base station. The cellular base station may configure a parameter associated with the target NTN base station in a handover command, the parameter being related to NTN mobility, and send the handover command to a wireless device for use by the wireless device during the handover procedure. The wireless device may receive the handover command from the cellular base station, and perform the handover procedure using the parameter associated with the target NTN base station.
