Abstract:
A backlighting system for a cabinet sign may include a plurality of panels. Each panel includes a plurality of light emitting diodes (“LEDs”) attached to the panel. The diode has a box sign depth factor of less than about 1.4. An integrated circuit may also be located on the panel. A wire physically connects adjacent panels.
Abstract:
A foot operation container includes a garbage bin having a bin lid, a foot-operable pedal mounted to the garbage bin, a pedal guide arrangement mounted to the garbage bin for enabling downward and upward movement of the foot-operable pedal, and a driving arrangement connected to the bin lid and the bin lid, wherein when the foot-operable pedal is pressed by a foot of a user, the foot-operable pedal moves downward under a guidance of the pedal guide arrangement to drive the pulling thread to lift up the bin lid. A pedal cushion arrangement is also provided to provide a cushion effect to avoid the production noise when the foot-operable pedal is released from the foot of the user.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method of calculating a channel frequency domain correlation are disclosed in the invention. The apparatus of calculating the channel frequency domain correlation includes: a pilot channel preliminary estimation unit configured to preliminarily estimate a frequency domain channel response at pilot subcarriers of a receiving signal to obtain a pilot channel preliminary estimation value; a determination unit configured to determine a channel frequency domain correlation value which can be reliably calculated; a first channel frequency domain correlation value calculation unit configured to calculate the channel frequency domain correlation value which can be reliably calculated using the pilot channel preliminary estimation value to obtain a reliably calculated channel frequency domain correlation value; and a second channel frequency domain correlation value calculation unit configured to calculate an other channel frequency domain correlation values using the reliably calculated channel frequency domain correlation value. The invention may also effectively apply to calculation of the channel frequency domain correlation and channel estimation.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for detecting an object are disclosed. The method comprises the steps of obtaining a plurality of depth images of the object; extracting foregrounds; fusing the foregrounds in a unified three-dimensional world coordinate system; calculating an appearance two-dimensional histogram from the fused foreground by the following steps of dividing the foreground into vertical members and getting statistics of the numbers of foreground points in the vertical members so as to obtain the appearance two-dimensional histogram; determining an overlapping region and the number of overlaps based on the placement of stereo cameras; determining a detection parameter relating to a detection position based on the overlapping region and the number of overlaps; and detecting the object by the appearance two-dimensional histogram based on the determined detection parameter.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for deciding whether to void a payment are provided. The method includes sending a signal to a web service provider to request information as to whether a payment has been reconciled, and receiving a first response from the web service provider. If the first response from the web service provider indicates that the payment has not been reconciled: performing a void process to void the payment, committing data related to the void process to an interface table, and receiving a second response from the web service provider. The second response includes status information of the payment replicated from a second interface table associated with the web service provider to the interface table. If the first response from the web service provider indicates that the payment has already been reconciled, deciding not to perform the void process.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device is disclosed. A p-type substrate is doped to form an N-well in a selected portion of a p-type substrate adjacent an anode region of the substrate. A p-type doped region is formed in the anode region of the p-type substrate. The p-type doped region and the N-well form a p-n junction.
Abstract:
A method for characterizing polarities of piezoelectric (PZT) elements of a two-element PZT microactuator mechanically coupled to a structure may include calculating an impedance of the two PZT element microactuator over a predetermined frequency range; summing the calculated impedance over the predetermined frequency range; and characterizing the polarities of the PZT elements of the two PZT element microactuator as being different if the summed impedance is greater than a threshold value and as being the same if the summed impedance is less than or equal to the threshold value.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for searching carrier frequencies (CFs) including determining all CFs to be measured within a frequency band according to a predetermined frequency interval; selecting part of the CFs as Sampling Measurement CFs (SMCFs) according to a predetermined band search step, and for each of the SMCFs, calculating initial peak to average ratio (PAR) of the SMCFs; weighting the initial PAR of each of the SMCFs by using initial PARs of SMCFs left and right neighboring each of the SMCFs, to obtain a determined PAR of each of the SMCFs; ordering the determined PARs of all the SMCFs, and selecting, in a descending order of the determined PARs, a predetermined number of SMCFs and frequencies to be measured left and right neighboring the selected SMCFs as a search result.
Abstract:
The invention includes a method and apparatus adapted for controlling congestion in a Radio Access Network (RAN). In one embodiment, a method includes monitoring packets received at a first network element of the RAN for an indication of congestion, where the packets are associated with a quality-of-service class, and, in response to detecting an indication of congestion in at least one of the received packets, signaling congestion status information from the first network element of the RAN toward a second network element of the RAN that is adapted for applying congestion control for the quality-of-service class. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, at a first network element of the RAN, from a second network element of the RAN, congestion status signaling indicative of a congestion condition associated with a quality-of-service class, and applying congestion control for the quality-of-service class in response to receiving the congestion status signaling indicative of the congestion condition.
Abstract:
An offline game storing system and a game progress storing method of an offline game are disclosed. The offline game storing system comprises a client and a server, wherein a management server in the server receives a request from the client for uploading or downloading a game progress file, stores an uploaded game progress file to a game progress storage server, or sends a game progress file corresponding to the downloading request in the game progress storage server to the client. The game progress storing method comprises the following steps: a progress file of the offline game is uploaded to a server, or a game progress file is downloaded from the server and the offline game is played according to the progress file. A user may play the offline game on different computers by using a same game progress, and since a cloud storage technology is adopted, the loading of the server is reduced and the manner of managing stored files in the server has the strong disaster tolerance capability, thereby ensuring the safety and stability of the server.
