    Abstract: A modular jack includes an insulative housing, a set of central shields, and a set of insert modules. The modular jack defines a mounting port. Each insert module includes a printed circuit broad assembly (PCBA) disposed horizontally in the mounting port and a terminal module located below the PCBA. The terminal module has a set of first terminals, a set of second terminals, and an insulative carrier holding the first and second terminals. Each central shield is disposed between two adjacent insert modules and mounted to the insulative housing. The central shield has a metal wafer and an insulative body for holding the metal wafer. The insulative body includes a pressing face extending along a front-to-back direction and the insulative carrier has a receiving pressure face extending along the front-to-back direction. Each terminal has a mounting portion for electrically and mechanically engaged with an exterior PCB.

    Abstract: A network connector socket includes an insulated body, first contacts, and second contacts. Each first contact includes a first fixed segment fixed in the insulated body. The first fixed segments are arranged in parallel on a first plane. Each second contact includes a second fixed segment fixed in the insulated body. The second fixed segments extend on a second plane spaced apart with the first plane and are arranged in parallel. One of the first fixed segments is bent and extends to cross at least one of the second fixed segments. For one of the first contacts, the corresponding first fixed segment has a larger transverse width than that of the rest. For one of the second contacts, the corresponding second fixed segment has a larger transverse width than that of the rest. Thus, the crosstalk noise between the contacts is reduced by capacitive compensation.

    Abstract: A switch pack holds rows and columns of connector plugs and permits collective coupling of the plugs into ports. The switch pack includes a housing having a front face with front openings and a rear face with rear openings. An internal frame forms channels between the front openings and the rear openings, each channel holding a respective connector plug. One or more locking members releasably snap lock to the frame. Each locking member includes at least one blocking edge which extends into a channel and blocks removal of the channel's plug via the rear opening. A release tool for the switch pack includes a first wall with first tabs and a second wall with second tabs, connected to the first wall by a third wall. Each of the first and second tabs protrudes into a channel of the first and second rows of channels to depress a plug latch.
