The present invention relates to a composition comprising a biologically pure culture of a fungicidal Paenibacillus sp. strain comprising a variant fusaricidin synthetase lacking a functional adenylation domain in the third module. The present invention also provides a composition comprising a biologically pure culture of a fungicidal Paenibacillus sp. strain or a cell-free extract thereof comprising at least one Paeniserine and at least one Paeniprolixin. Also provided are isolated compounds and methods of treating a plant to control a plant disease with the disclosed compositions and compounds.
Abstract:
The present invention provides compositions and methods for regulating expression of heterologous nucleotide sequences in a plant. Compositions include two novel promoter nucleotide sequences for the genes encoding gamma tonoplast intrinsic protein and plasma membrane intrinsic protein in soybean, as well as vectors, microorganisms, plants and plant cells comprising the promoter nucleotide sequences, or variants and fragments thereof. Methods for expressing a heterologous nucleotide sequence in a plant using the promoter sequences disclosed herein are also provided. The methods comprise stably incorporating into the genome of a plant cell a nucleotide sequence operably linked to the promoter of the present invention and regenerating a stably transformed plant that expresses the nucleotide sequence.

The invention also relates to plants and varieties produced by the method of essential derivation from plants of ST 4747GLB2 and to plants of ST 4747GLB2 reproduced by vegetative methods, including but not limited to tissue culture of regenerable cells or tissue from ST 4747GLB2.

A seed treater provides enhanced seed coating capabilities and performance. The seed and/or treatment fluid may be heated for improving vaporization and absorption by the seed. Air may be injected in the seed treater to provide heat, dehumidified air, and to provide vaporization enhancement, and component cleaning functions. The functions may be controlled by a control processor based on recipes and may be changed dependent upon sensed or input environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity.

A seed treater comprises a rotatable bowl positioned in a bowl containment, the containment closeable with the rotatable bowl therein and having ports or inlet for seed and seed treatment chemicals, the containment having a containment base and a cover. The containment base having a generally cylindrical wall portion, a bottom wall portion below the bowl, and a corner wall portion connecting the cylindrical wall portion and the bottom wall portion. The containment base having access ports for cleaning and the corner wall portion is a curved wall portion having a radius of curvature of at least one inch with no sharp interior corners between the planar bottom wall portion and the cylindrical wall portion. A liner, such as a polymer liner, may be installed on the cylindrical wall such that it is adjacent the upper edge of the bowl and extending upwardly on the cylindrical wall. Whereby a batch seed treater is provided with enhanced cleaning and maintenance capabilities.

The present invention relates to a composition comprising a) recombinant exosporium-producing Bacillus cells that express a fusion protein comprising: (i) at least one plant growth stimulating protein or peptide and (ii) a targeting sequence that localizes the fusion protein to the exosporium of the Bacillus cells; and b) at least one further biological control agent selected from particular microorganisms disclosed herein and/or a mutant of a specific strain of a microorganism disclosed herein having all identifying characteristics of the respective strain, and/or at least one metabolite produced by the respective strain, and/or at least one metabolite produced by the respective strain that exhibits activity against insects, mites, nematodes and/or phytopathogens in a synergistically effective amount. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of this composition as well as a method for enhancing plant growth, promoting plant health, and/or reducing overall damage of plants and plant parts.
