A capacitor includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a dielectric layer of molecular material disposed between said first and second electrodes. The molecular material is described by the general formula: Dp-(Core)-Hq, where Core is a polarizable conductive anisometric core, having conjugated π-systems, and characterized by a longitudinal axis, D and H are insulating substituents, and p and q are numbers of the D and H substituents accordingly. And Core possesses at least one dopant group that enhances polarizability.

The present disclosure provides an organic compound characterized by electronic polarizability and having a following general structural formula: where Core is an aromatic polycyclic conjugated molecule, R1 is an insulating group, n is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8, R2 is substitute located in apex positions, R3 and R4 are located in side (lateral) positions and, the core has flat anisometric form and R2 are selected from hydrogen and nucleophilic groups (donors) and R3 and R4 are independently selected from hydrogen and electrophilic groups (acceptors) or vice versa R3 and R4 are independently selected from hydrogen and nucleophilic groups (donors) and R2 are selected from hydrogen and electrophilic groups (acceptors).

The present disclosure provides solid multilayer structure having m polarization layers, and m+1 insulating layers disposed in a repeating sequence with the polarization layers, At least one polarization layer is comprised of materials selected from non-linear polarizable composite compounds and side chain polymers with non-linear polarizable pendants, and m is a number greater than or equal to 1. The insulating layer has a breakdown voltage greater than or equal to 0.01 volts (V) per nanometer (nm), and the polarization layer has a dielectric permittivity greater than or equal to 100. The solid multilayer structure may be used as a dielectric layer between two electrodes in capacitor.

Further, the CESS includes one or more metacapacitors as an energy storage medium. Additionally, the disclosure provides a capacitor energy storage cell composed of the at least one metacapacitor and a DC-voltage conversion device, where the output voltage of the metacapacitor is the input voltage of the DC-voltage conversion device. Still further, the CESS may be comprised of a module of said capacitor energy storage cells, or a system of modules of said capacitor energy storage cells.
