Abstract: Described herein are resilient floor coverings produced by using digitally printed UV-cured inks and exhibiting high adhesion properties between an ink layer and a wear layer. Also described herein are methods for manufacturing same. Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for analyzing one or more images of a textile to determine a presence or absence of defects. In one example, an image of at least a portion of a textile may be obtained and compared to a reference image of a reference textile. Based on the comparison, one or more areas indicative of a height variation between the textile and the reference textile may be determined. An action may be performed based on the one or more areas indicative of the height variation.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an aqueous latex composition comprising a substantially acrylic core-shell latex, wherein a water-retaining monomer is copolymerized to the shell. The Tg of the core ranges from about 0° C. to about 12° C., and the Tg of the shell ranges from about 13° C. to about 40° C. The mean volume average particle size of the latex ranges from about 125 nm to about 200 nm. The core-shell latex comprises at least one acrylic monomer having a solubility that ranges about 10 g/L to about 30 g/L at 30° C., and this at least one acrylic monomer is present in the shell polymer in an amount greater than about 50 wt. % of all monomers in the shell. Preferably, the at least one acrylic monomer is methyl methacrylate.

Abstract: A construction connector that connects to a support member with a fastener has a connection element that engages the support member and a fastener receiver connected to the connection element. The fastener receiver includes a raised element and a driving element. The raised element has a proximal end portion connected to the connection element and a distal end portion disposed distally of the proximal end portion. The driving element is coupled to the distal end portion of the raised element and projects generally proximally from the distal end portion of the raised element. The driving element includes a cylindrical wall defining a fastener opening sized and shaped to receive the fastener. The driving element is constructed to be driven into the support member as the fastener is driven into the support member.

In many embodiments water-resistant materials such as tape or glue are used to cover all seams and joints. In some embodiments the different pieces are tested for water-resistance before combining and in others the final shoe is tested for water-resistance. The present shoe and method provide a comfortable yet water-resistant shoe.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an additive for a paint or stain composition or for a colorant composition. The additive is polymerized from at least one acrylate monomer and a chain transfer agent. The additive has a weight molecular weight from about 2,000 Daltons to about 5,000 Daltons, and the chain transfer agent comprises a hydrogen-sulfur functionality and is present from about 8 to about 20 parts per hundred parts of monomers. The additive's glass transition temperature ranges from about −50° C. to about −10° C. and the additive is hydrophobic. The additive is added to the colorant composition to minimize tip drying at the colorant canisters, and is added to paint or stain composition as an open time extender.
