Abstract: A method and system are disclosed and include obtaining, using a processor configured to execute instructions stored in a nontransitory computer-readable medium and in response to receiving a vehicle-sharing request, contextual information, which includes at least one of (i) vehicle selection history information associated with a vehicle-sharing account corresponding to the vehicle-sharing request, (ii) location information associated with the vehicle-sharing request, and (iii) application information associated with a portable device corresponding to the vehicle-sharing request. The method also includes generating, using the processor, vehicle recommendations based on the contextual information. The method also includes transmitting, using the processor, a first set of vehicle recommendations to the portable device. The method also includes assigning, using the processor and in response to receiving a signal indicating a selection of a vehicle from the first set of vehicle recommendations, the vehicle to a user associated with the vehicle-sharing request.

Abstract: A refrigeration circuit for a vehicle system includes a compressor, an evaporator, an accumulator, an inlet tube, an outlet tube, and a bypass valve. The inlet tube is configured to deliver refrigerant from the evaporator to the accumulator. The outlet tube is configured to deliver refrigerant from the accumulator to the compressor. The bypass valve is in fluid communication with the inlet and outlet tubes. The bypass valve has an open position and a closed position. The bypass valve is configured to direct refrigerant flow from the inlet tube to the outlet tube to bypass the accumulator when in the open position. The bypass valve is configured to restrict refrigerant from flowing from the inlet tube to the outlet tube when in the closed position.

Abstract: A method for broadcasting a basic safety message (BSM) packet from a host vehicle includes receiving sensor data from one or more vehicle sensors provided at the host vehicle. The method includes determining whether the sensor data indicates a lane change of the host vehicle. The method includes performing a corrective action on at least one path history entry that is stored in a database in response to the sensor data indicating the lane change. The method includes generating and broadcasting the BSM packet based on the at least one path history entry.

Abstract: An inlet subassembly for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The inlet subassembly includes a fresh air inlet and a fresh air door movable to control fresh airflow through the fresh air inlet. The inlet subassembly further includes a recirculation air inlet and a partition defining a first airflow channel and a second airflow channel extending from the recirculation air inlet. A recirculation air door is adjacent to the recirculation air inlet and is movable to a closed position restricting recirculated airflow into both the first airflow channel and the second airflow channel, an open position permitting recirculated airflow into both the first airflow channel and the second airflow channel, and a two-layer position in which the recirculation air door restricts recirculated airflow into the first airflow channel and permits recirculated airflow into the second airflow channel.

Abstract: A system is disclosed and includes a plurality of antennas. Each antenna includes a plurality of conductive elements and is circularly polarized. The plurality of conductive elements is configured to receive radio frequency (RF) signals. A first end of each of the plurality of conductive elements is electrically coupled to a printed circuit board, which includes a plurality of coupler circuits and a switching circuit. The plurality of coupler circuits is configured to combine the RF signals and output a signal to the switching circuit based on the combined RF signals. The switching circuit is configured to selectively output one of the signals based on at least one control port of the switching circuit being selectively activated by a control signal. The system also includes a microcontroller configured to determine, based on at least one of the signals, an angle of arrival associated with the plurality of antennas.

Abstract: A system for attaching a heat exchanger to a vehicle includes a first bracket and a second bracket. The first bracket is secured to the heat exchanger and has a first plate. The first plate includes front and back surfaces. The first plate defines first and second notches on opposing peripheral edges of the first plate. The second bracket is secured to the vehicle. The second bracket has a second plate, a hook, and a clip. The second plate has an outer surface. The hook and the clip extend from opposing edges of the outer surface. The outer surface is configured to engage the front surface of the first plate. The hook and the clip are configured to extend through the first and second notches, respectively, and to engage the back surface of the first plate to secure the second bracket to the first bracket.

Abstract: A system for detecting an object collision includes a processor and a memory in communication with the processor with an objection collision detection module. The objection collision detection module has instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to obtain a first image and a second image of a scene from a camera sensor mounted to a vehicle, determine a change amount between the first image and the second image, and based on the change amount, determine at least one of that an object is approaching the vehicle or the object has collided with the vehicle. The change amount represents the number of pixels with the same location value that changed intensity values between the first and second images.
