    摘要: Exemplary methods for establishing an emergency call and an emergency call-back for a first User Equipment (UE) communicatively coupled to a visited Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network includes establishing an emergency call by the first UE sending an emergency call request to a Proxy Call Session Control Function (P-CSCF) in the visited IMS network. The methods further include providing, from the P-CSCF to a Serving CSCF (S-CSCF) in a home IMS network for the first UE, information comprising an indication that the emergency call has been performed and an equipment identifier of the first UE. The methods further include receiving, in the S-CSCF, an emergency call-back request from an emergency call-center, and using, in the S-CSCF, information comprised in the received emergency call-back and the information provided by the P-CSCF, to route the emergency call-back to the first UE and/or to a second UE.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for transferring a session from a packet switched access network to a circuit switched access network. A Mobility Management Entity receives a service type indicator from a gateway node. The service type indicator indicates a type of service for the session, and is associated with bearers used for the session. The Mobility Management Entity subsequently receives, from an eNodeB, an indication that the session is to be transferred from the packet switched network to the circuit switched access network. The Mobility Management Entity determines the bearers associated with the session using the service type indicator, and initiates transfer of the session using those bearers. This ensures that the correct bearers are transferred regardless of whether or not identifiers such as QCI values have been ascribed to other types of service.

    摘要: A mechanism is presented for performing a session transfer with Single Radio Voice Call Continuity, SRVCC, from a Packet Switched, PS, access to a Circuit Switched, CS, access of a telecommunications session that has been established over the PS access via an IP Multimedia Subsystem, IMS, network. The method includes receiving a request for the transfer of the session to the CS access. An indication of an already-seized media gateway, MGW, that has been established for use in one or more other sessions over the CS access is obtained from the IMS network. A MGW is selected as a Mobile-Media Gateway, M-MGW, for the session based on the obtained indication. Allocation of resources for the session in the CS access network is initiated, including specifying the MGW to be used as the Mobile-Media Gateway, M-MGW. Transfer of the session to the CS access is then initiated.

    摘要: A method performs a Single Radio Voice Call Continuity (SRVCC) Packet Switched (PS) to Circuit Switched (CS) handover of an emergency call that is routed over an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network. The call is transferred from a first region served by a first Mobility Management Entity (MME) to a second region served by a second MME. The method includes sending a first handover request from the first MME to the second MME to transfer the call. The first handover request includes an Emergency Session Transfer Number for SRVCC (E-STN-SR) identifying an Emergency Access Transfer Function (EATF) in the first region. A second handover request for handover to a CS access is sent to a target Mobile Switching Centre, MSC, and includes the E-STN-SR. The call is handed over to the CS access using the E-STN-SR to route the call via the EATF in the first region.

    摘要: An emergency access transfer function (EATF) node is described for use when hand over of a user equipment (UE) from a first to a second access network is performed during an emergency call session (ECS). The EATF node receives a request for transferring the ECS from the first access network to the second access network. The EATF node transfers the ECS of the UE from the first to the second access network when the ECS is known to the EATF node. The EATF node selects a second EATF node from a set of one or more EATF nodes when the ECS is unknown, and forwards the request for transferring the ECS to the second EATF node. The EATF node may be in a first network region and the second EATF node may be in the first or a second network region.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus are described for use in handling session establishment in a home network or visited network. IMS roaming is described for a UE of the home network that is roaming in the visited network. On receipt of a session establishment request associated with an originating call from the UE the home network determines whether to perform home routing and/or direct home routing of the originating call to the called party. When home routing, execution of service invocation is suspended and the home network sends a session establishment request including a routing number of an application server in the home network back to the visited network, which performs visiting service invocation of the call and routes the signaling and media to the home network-based on the routing number. The network node in the home network resumes execution of service invocation and routing of the originating call to the called party. When direct home routing, the home network performs execution of service invocation and routes the originating call to the called party.

    摘要: A method and system for updating or handling the update of a media path between a first user terminal and a second user terminal in a telecommunications network is provided. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the media path includes one or more gateway nodes. Each gateway node includes a gating function for gating media packets. Each gating function has an associated controlling function for controlling the gating function. Responsive to a message indicating at an update of the gating at the gating function is required, the gating function arranges for a new gating to be opened while keeping the old gating open. The gating function determines when the media has been switched to the new path. Responsive to the determination, the gating function arranges for the old gating to be closed.
