    摘要: Provided are a fall detecting apparatus and method and an emergency aid system and method using the same. The fall detecting apparatus includes a storing unit configured to store fall data vectors; an angular velocity measuring unit configured to measure an angular velocity value; an acceleration measuring unit configured to measure an acceleration value; an acceleration extracting unit configured to extract a kinetic acceleration value and a gravitational acceleration value by filtering the acceleration value measured by the acceleration measuring unit; and a fall determining unit configured to convert the angular velocity value, which is measured by the angular velocity measuring unit, and the kinetic acceleration value and the gravitational acceleration value, which are extracted by the acceleration extracting unit, into a fall data vector, and determine a use's fall by comparing the converted fall data vector with the fall data vector stored in the storing unit.

The motion recognition system includes footwear for motion recognition and an information processing terminal. The footwear for motion recognition includes a pressure sensor, a height sensor and a three-axis acceleration sensor, measures variations in foot pressure, height and acceleration according to a user's motion, preprocesses signals measured by the sensors, and transmits the preprocessed signals. The information processing terminal analyses the signals received from the footwear for motion recognition, obtains information regarding the user's center of gravity, position within three-dimensional space and feet movements, and provides application services based on the obtained information.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention may provide an apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving a random access channel (RACH) in a single carrier-frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) system. A frequency domain RACH signal may be mapped to a localized sub-frequency band of an entire frequency band available to the SC-FDMA system. A guard band including at least one sub carrier may be allocated between the RACH signal band and other channel signal bands. A guard time may be allocated between the RACH signal and other channel signals in the time domain. The RACH signal may include a short message including information related to a mobile station. The RACH signal may be detected in a frequency based method, a time based method or a sliding matched filter based method. Receiver complexity can be decreased if the RACH signal includes a CAZAC code sequence for a preamble. In such a case, a receive delay may be simply calculated and then adjusted more accurately.
