Abstract:
Colic can be a particular problem for babies feeding on liquid feed from a feeder bottle. The colic can be formed by air from various sources in the liquid feed. Typically, there is less air in the liquid feed towards the bottom of the liquid feed container in the feeding position than towards the top of the liquid feed. The present invention provides apparatus for drawing milk from the bottom of the feeding apparatus chamber when the feeder is held in the operating position. This is achieved by positioning a flow restrictor for allowing the passage of liquid feed from a main chamber into a flexible feeding teat at a suitable location. The present invention also provides a resiliently-biased cartridge to assist in priming and/or draining of the flexible feeding teat. The present invention also provides a construction in which the flow restrictor is always provided in the correct position regardless of the relative angular orientation of the elements of the feeder. The present invention also provides feeding apparatus that can be easily disassembled to facilitate cleaning.

A computer-implemented method, system and computer-readable storage device provide functionality for managing location information for planar regions in two-dimensional views of a three-dimensional environment. A request is received for a first two-dimensional view of a three-dimensional environment that identifies a first planar region associated with content within the three-dimensional environment. The first two-dimensional view is rendered and displayed. A request is received for a second two-dimensional view from a second location. A distance and direction between the location of the first planar region and the location for the second view are determined and used to establish a second location of the planar region in the second two-dimensional view, and then use this information to help render and display the second two-dimensional view.

A method and a system are presented in which federated domains interact within a federated environment. Domains within a federation can initiate federated single-sign-on operations for a user at other federated domains. A point-of-contact server within a domain relies upon a trust proxy within the domain to manage trust relationships between the domain and the federation. Trust proxies interpret assertions from other federated domains as necessary. Trust proxies may have a trust relationship with one or more trust brokers, and a trust proxy may rely upon a trust broker for assistance in interpreting assertions. When a user is provisioned at a particular federated domain, the federated domain can provision the user to other federated domains within the federated environment. A provision operation may include creating or deleting an account for a user, pushing updated user account information including attributes, and requesting updates on account information including attributes.

A controller controls the flux in the machine with reference to a demanded flux and a stabilisation signal which, in combination, enable the controller to operate in a stable manner in the presence of disturbances in the inputs or parameters of the controller. The controller is able to operate with either a hardware rotor position detector or with a sensorless position algorithm.

A turbocharged internal combustion engine comprising: a turbocharger (15) actuators for opening and closing the exhaust valves (a, b) and an electronic controller which controls operation of the actuators to thereby control opening and closing of the exhaust valves (a, b). The exhaust valves comprise a first exhaust valve (a) connected to a first exhaust duct (14) and a second exhaust valve (16) connected to a second exhaust duct (16). The first exhaust duct (14) is connected to the turbocharger (15) so that exhaust gases passing through the first exhaust duct (14) drive the turbocharger (15). The second exhaust duct (16) bypasses the turbocharger (15) and the combusted gases flowing through the second exhaust duci are exhausted without passing through the turbocharger (15). The electronic controller by controlling the opening and closing of the first (a) and second (b) exhaust valves controls what proportion of the combusted gases leaving the combustion chamber flow through each of the first (14) and second (16) exhaust ducts.

Its prime mover accepts a limited proportion of braking power and the remainder of the braking power is dissipated in an energy dump.
