摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for reducing engine fuel consumption during regenerative braking. According to certain embodiments, the regenerative braking system has an engine, a generator, a rectifier, a first inverter, a traction motor, and a reverse recovery unit. The generator is configured to be driven by the engine to produce AC electrical power. The rectifier is configured to receive AC electrical power from the generator and convert the AC power to DC power. The first inverter is configured to receive the DC power and convert the DC power to AC power. The traction motor is configured to be driven by the AC power in a traction mode, and to produce regenerated power when rotated in reverse in a regenerative braking mode. The reverse recovery unit has a second inverter and a filter. The second inverter is electrically connected in parallel with the rectifier and configured to communicate at least part of the regenerated power from the traction motor to the generator during the regenerative braking mode. The filter is electrically connected downstream of the second inverter and in parallel with the rectifier. The filter is configured to filter transient voltage generated by the second inverter during the regenerative braking mode.

摘要: A hybrid energy system for propelling an off-highway vehicle includes an engine rated at a first power capacity, and a power converter driven by the engine for providing primary electric power. A traction motor system receives the primary electric power, the traction motor system propelling the off-highway vehicle in response to the primary electric power, and the traction motor system further including a dynamic braking mode of operation. An energy storage medium captures electrical energy generated by the traction motor system in the dynamic braking mode of operation, the energy storage medium transferring a portion of the captured energy to the traction motor system to augment the primary electric power, wherein the traction motor system is rated at a second power capacity exceeding the first power capacity.

摘要: A control system for a vehicle-mounted battery which, in accordance with the state of a battery, can make a polyphase alternating current rotating machine in a hybrid car assist the driving gear (the internal combustion engine) or charge the battery. The current and voltage during discharge and charging of a battery mounted on a vehicle are measured, and on the basis of this measured current and voltage information, a program control circuit controls the discharge current when an auxiliary driving force is given to the driving gear. This control is performed via an inverter which performs AC-to-DC or DC-to-AC conversion between the battery and the polyphase alternating current rotating machine coupled to the driving gear of the vehicle. Because the charging and discharging currents are limited in accordance with the state of charging of the battery, it is possible to avoid charging and discharging uniformly irrespective of the amount of charging of the battery. In addition, charging efficiency can be increased and the working life of the battery lengthened.
