摘要: An ATS includes an SCR device and is connected to an internal combustion engine so as to receive an exhaust gas flow from at least one cylinder of the internal combustion engine when fuel is injected and combusted in such cylinder; an NH3 storage is increased in such SCR device after an engine shut off command has been detected, such that an increased NH3 storage is ready for a subsequent cold start of the internal combustion engine; the increase of NH3 storage is carried out by injecting a reducing agent in the ATS and by supplying an air flow towards the SCR device; such air flow flows through the cylinder after the fuel injection has been shut off.

摘要: Magnetic latching valves have a housing with first and second ports in controlled fluid communication with one another. Enclosed within the housing is a linearly translatable armature within a solenoid. The armature is movable between open and closed positions and is connected to a poppet valve. A permanent magnet is fixedly seated at a position for magnetically latching the armature in the open position, and a spring is seated with a first end against the poppet valve and a second end against the housing. The spring biases the poppet valve closed when the armature is in the closed position and has a pre-selected spring rate that mechanically relieves pressure if the spring rate is exceeded. The armature is moved to the open position after a pulse of voltage to the solenoid and is in an unpowered state thereafter. Vehicle fuel refueling system are disclosed that include a magnetic latching valve.

摘要: A turbocharger system for an engine of a vehicle includes a variable geometry turbine configured to receive exhaust gas from the engine. The variable geometry turbine includes adjustable vanes and a vane actuator to adjust the adjustable vanes between at least an open position and a closed position. The turbocharger further includes an intake duct configured to receive intake air; a first compressor rotationally coupled to the variable geometry turbine and fluidly coupled to the intake duct to compress at least a first portion of the intake air; an electric compressor fluidly coupled to the intake duct to selectively compress at least a second portion of the intake air; and a manifold conduit fluidly coupled to the first compressor and the electric compressor and configured to receive and direct the first and second portions of the intake air to a manifold of the engine.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for a supercharged internal combustion engine having staged boosting devices. In one example, a system may include an engine coupled to an intake system for receiving charge air and an exhaust system for discharging exhaust gases, an electrically driven compressor arranged in the intake system upstream of a turbocharger compressor, a bypass line, including a bypass valve, coupled across the electrically driven compressor, a throttle arranged at an inlet of the electrically driven compressor, and an exhaust gas recirculation system that couples the exhaust system downstream of the exhaust turbine to the intake system upstream of the electrically driven compressor via a first recirculation branch and between the electrically driven compressor and the turbocharger compressor via a second recirculation branch. In this way, the electrically driven compressor may be operated to reduce condensate formation at an inlet of the turbocharger compressor.

摘要: A surge avoidance control method of avoiding surging in an exhaust turbocharger which comprises a turbine rotated by exhaust gas from an engine and a compressor rotatably driven by the turbine, by controlling an opening degree of an operation device capable of adjusting an operation point of the compressor between fully open and fully closed, includes: a surge detection step of determining whether the operation point of the compressor is positioned in a surge operation region at each predetermined timing; a surge avoidance opening-degree calculation step of calculating a surge avoidance opening degree of the operation device necessary for moving the operation point of the compressor determined to be positioned in the surge operation region in the surge detection step out of the surge operation region; a correction opening-degree calculation step of calculating a correction opening degree of the operation device on the basis of a moving velocity of the operation point of the compressor which is determined to be positioned in the surge operation region in the surge detection step; and an opening-degree command value calculation step of calculating an opening-degree command value of the operation device on the basis of the surge avoidance opening degree and the correction opening degree.

摘要: A divert-air valve for a compressor of an internal combustion engine includes a flow housing with a duct, an actuator, a control body moved by the actuator to control a throughflow cross section of the duct, an armature, openings in the control body, a valve housing with a housing wall, a support ring with a ring-shaped plate and a cylinder wall, and a sealing ring which seals the housing interior with respect to a part of the duct. The armature is connected to the control body. The openings fluidically connect the housing interior to a part of the duct. The valve housing surrounds the actuator and a part of the control body. The support ring bears, via the cylinder wall, radially from the outside against the housing wall. The radial sealing ring lies axially against the ring-shaped plate and bears radially at the outside against the housing wall.

摘要: Thermal management systems for a vehicle powered by internal combustion engines (ICEs) are provided. Systems include a coolant circuit configured to circulate a coolant and transfer heat between the coolant and a heat consumer appurtenant to the vehicle, and a refrigerant circuit configured to circulate a refrigerant such that the refrigerant is capable of extracting heat from exhaust gas generated by the ICE and subsequently transferring heat to the coolant. The refrigerant circuit can include one or more of an exhaust gas heat exchanger, a compressor, a coolant heat exchanger, a condenser, and an evaporator. Heat transferred to the coolant via the coolant heat exchanger can be transferred to one or more heat consumers, including the ICE, a turbocharger, an oil heater, a heater core, an exhaust gas recirculation cooler, an axle, a differential, an exhaust gas treatment device, and a reductant reservoir for an SCR or SCRF device.
