Abstract:
Disclosed is a structure of electrolessly palladium (Pd) and gold (Au) plated films on a bonding pad, comprising a Pd plated layer on the bonding pad; and an Au plated layer on the Pd plated layer. Also disclosed is an assembled structure formed of the electrolessly Pd—Au plated films wire-bonded with a copper (Cu) or Pd—Cu wire to the Au plated layer. In addition, a process for producing the structure of the electrolessly Pd—Au plated films and an assembling process for the assembled structure are disclosed. According to the present invention, the Pd plated layer is used to replace the conventional nickel layer so as to enhance the wire-bonding strength between the Cu or Pd—Cu wire and the bonding pad.

An air-blower tidal power generation device includes a rack, an air-blower mechanism, and a power generation mechanism. The air-blower mechanism includes a pumping device, a buoy, and an air conduit. The pumping device includes a cylinder and a stationary barrel movably coupled together. The power generation mechanism includes a constant-pressure and pressure-regulation device and a power generator having an air-driven turbine. Thus, tides move the buoy up and down to drive the pumping device for cyclically drawing and pumping air, and the air is preserved in the constant-pressure and pressure-regulation device to provide a constant pressure for subsequent and stable supply of airflow to the turbine for driving the power generator to generate power.

A balance-enhancing and vibration-reducing device is incorporated in a wrist exerciser to enhance force balance and reduce vibration caused in the operation of the wrist exerciser. The device includes a ring mounted in a casing of the wrist exerciser and defining diametrically opposite holes that rotatably receive axles of a rotor of the wrist exerciser. A coupler is mounted to an inner circumference of the ring in position corresponding to at least one of the holes. The coupler includes a tube extending in a radial direction of the ring. The tube forms a central bore to rotatably receive the corresponding axle. A plurality of resilient pawls is formed at a free end of the tube and distributed along a circumference of the free end. A balance-enhancing and vibration-reducing element has a central bore fit over the tube of the coupler by elastically deforming the pawls. The pawls so deformed resume their original position by the resiliency thereof to retain the balance-enhancing and vibration-reducing element on the tube. The balance-enhancing and vibration-reducing element effects weight balance and absorption of mechanical vibration force during the rotation of the rotor thereby maintaining stable and noiseless operation of the wrist exerciser.

A focusing module includes a casing, at least one fixed magnetic element, a membrane, a movable magnetic element, and a lens. The fixed magnetic element is fixed in the casing for generating a first magnetic field. The membrane is received and retained in an upper section of the casing. The membrane defines a central hole. The movable magnetic element is attached to the membrane, surrounding the central hole of the membrane. The movable magnetic element receives a control signal and in response thereto generates a second magnetic field, which interacts with the first magnetic field of the fixed magnetic field to induce a force acting on the membrane to cause elastic deformation of the membrane. The lens is fixed to the central hole of the membrane whereby the lens is movable with respect to the casing due to the elastic deformation of the membrane caused by magnetic interaction between the first and second magnetic fields of the fixed and movable magnetic elements so as to effect focusing operation.

A cathode plate including a substrate, a plurality of cathode structures, a plurality of gate structures, and an emission layer is provided. The cathode structures and the gate structures are strip-shaped and disposed on the substrate. The cathode structures and the gate structures are parallel interlaced with one another. Each of the cathode structures has at least one groove, and the emission layer is disposed in the grooves. A field emission flat lamp including the above cathode plate, an anode plate, and a sealant is provided. The sealant is disposed between and seals the cathode plate and the anode plate. With the grooves on the cathode structures, the emission layer is positioned precisely to improve the light uniformity of the field emission flat lamp.

A wrist exerciser includes a casing comprised of upper and lower casing members mounted together to form a substantially spherical shape. A rotor has opposite shafts rotatably received in the holes defined in the casing for rotatably supporting the rotor in the casing. Illumination elements are mounted on an outside surface of the rotor. A power source is fixed in the rotor for powering the illumination elements. A control circuit is in electrical connection with the power source and the illumination elements for selectively lighting the illumination elements. A transmission device is mounted in the rotor and has an interface circuit connected to the control circuit and a socket connector in connection with the interface circuit. A transmission cable has opposite ends forming first and second connectors, wherein the first connector is mateable with the socket connector of the transmission device of the rotor and the second connector is engageable with for example a personal computer for transferring control programs from the external device to the control circuit.

The present invention discloses a trench capacitor formed in a trench in a semiconductor substrate. The trench capacitor comprises a bottom electrode positioned on a lower outer surface of the trench, a dielectric layer positioned on an inner surface of the bottom electrode, a top electrode positioned on the dielectric layer, a collar oxide layer positioned on an upper inner surface of the trench, a buried conductive strap positioned on the top electrode, and an interface layer made of silicon nitride positioned at the side of the buried conductive strap. The bottom electrode, the dielectric layer and the top electrode form a capacitive structure. The collar oxide layer includes a first block and a second block, and the height of the first block is larger than the height of the second block. The interface layer is positioned on a portion of the inner surface of the trench above the second block.

A data transmission device is mounted to a wrist exerciser for detecting the rotational speed of a rotor inside the wrist exerciser and generating and transmitting exercising data associated with the rotational speed from the wrist exerciser to an external device. The data transmission device includes a transmitter unit coupled to a casing of the wrist exerciser and having a sensor for detecting the rotational speed of the rotor and issuing a detection signal, and a processing circuit receiving and processing the detection signal to provide an output of the exercising data, including counts of rotation and the rotational speed. A transmission cable has a first end connectable with the output of the processing circuit to receive the exercising data and a second end engageable with a counterpart device of the external device for forwarding the exercising data to the external device. Examples of the external devices include a personal computer, a personal digital assistant and a mobile phone having built-in memory for storage of the exercising data and a built in display for displaying the exercising data.
