摘要： The television signal recording/reproducing system digitally records and reproduces television signals composed of a luminance signal, a chrominance signal and a resolution compensation signal included in predetermined television scanning lines. The system includes a Y/C separating circuit for separating the luminance signal Y from the chrominance signal C. The luminance signal Y and the resolution compensation signal are combined onto a first signal line. A demodulating circuit demodulates the chrominance signal into a color difference signal and outputs the demodulated signal to a second signal line. A digital video signal recorder digitally process the signals on the first signal line separately from the signals on the second signal line and records the digitally processed signals. In this manner, the resolution compensation signal is processed with the luminance signal and the resolution compensation signal can be accurately recorded.

摘要： When a ratio of track pitches in an SP mode and an LP mode is equal to 3:2 the track number is recorded onto each track by advancing the track number one by one in the SP mode and the track number is advanced by setting the even or odd track numbers as a same track number in two tracks and is recorded onto each track in the LP mode. Thus, even when a new recording is performed onto a recorded tape, the track numbers are continuous, so that the track number can be used for detecting the absolute address.

A moving image may be recorded in a first (YCrCb) recording mode wherein a luminance signal Y and color difference signals (R-Y) and (R-B) corresponding thereto are recorded. A still image may be recorded in a second (RGB) recording mode wherein three primary color signals corresponding thereto are recorded. In the RGB recording mode, the amount of information of each of the three primary color signals may be set to at least the amount of information of the luminance signal Y of the YCrCb recording mode such that, upon the reproduction thereof, a reproduced still image having a relatively high resolution is obtained.

摘要： Apparatus for processing first and second digital signals with the same processing device, the two digital signals having respective first and second data configurations which differ from each other, and wherein the first data configuration contains a greater amount of data than the second data configuration. 摘要： A digital signal source and an analog signal source, such as might be contained in a video tape cassette, can be discriminated from each other in a video tape recorder by providing only a minimum of electrical contacts. A first contact is connected to a voltage source and a fourth contact is connected to ground, while second and third contacts are connected through resistors to the voltage source. The second and third contacts are respectively connected through fixed contacts of two change-over switches to a serial data line and to a serial clock line of a data processing circuit, and those contacts are also respectively connected through the other fixed contacts of the change-over switches to comparing input terminals of a group of comparators. A voltage-dividing circuit formed of resistors is connected to the voltage source and the voltages developed at respective voltage-dividing points are supplied to reference input terminals of the comparators and output signals from the comparators are supplied to data input terminals of a data processing circuit in the video tape recorder.
