    摘要: This invention relates to a data transmission method or the like suitable for transmitting video data, audio data or the like. There is transmitted a serial digital transfer interface transmission packet in which an interval of each line of a video frame comprises an end synchronizing code area into which an end synchronizing code is inserted, an ancillary data area into which ancillary data is inserted, a start synchronizing code area into which a start synchronizing code is inserted and a payload area. The payload area has inserted thereto first data containing extension data having editing point information at the picture unit of video data and second data containing main data comprising video data and/or audio data. The reception side is able to effect a necessary processing such as muting of sounds on the editing point by effectively utilizing editing point information.

    摘要: A data recording and reproducing apparatus for recording and reproducing video signals in a plurality of formats with different rates to/from a record medium is disclosed. In the data recording and reproducing apparatus, a video signal in a selected format is converted into video data packets and audio data packets whose lengths are optimally designated corresponding to the selected format. With a video data packet and an audio data packet, a video sync block and an audio sync block whose lengths are different are formed, respectively. The video sync block and the audio sync block are encoded with respective error correction codes. The resultant data is recorded as record data to a record medium. Corresponding to the data rate of the video signal, at least one data packet is placed in one video sync block. A synchronization detecting apparatus automatically and accurately detects sync blocks with different lengths from a data sequence of record data reproduced from a record medium. The synchronization detecting apparatus separates the detected sync blocks into video sync blocks and audio sync blocks. The video sync blocks and the audio sync blocks are decoded with respective error correction codes. As a result, video data and audio data are restored.

    摘要: Finite audio and video signals are subjected to some digitalizing encoding format and converted into blocks of audio and video words, respectively. For transmission of these blocks via a compact disc, the words are arranged in packets. Each packet has a packet header and a data field. Such a data field comprises either only audio words or only video words. The packet heater indicates whether the associated data field comprises audio or video words. In order to transmit only changes in the picture in the case of, inter alia, quasi-stationary pictures, each block of video words is divided into a number of sub-blocks and an operational code is added to the beginning of each sub-block. This defines, inter alia, picture elements and the sub-block itself gives video words for these pictures elements.

    摘要: A disc record is disclosed wherein information is stored in radially spaced-apart track turns, each track turn having microscopic pits occurring at varying rates representing the waveform of signals. The signals comprise a plurality of channels of digital audio data words, a plurality of channels of digital computer-control data bits multiplexed in series with the digital audio data words, the audio data words and the computer-control data bits being organized into a sequence of first blocks, the volume of information contained in the computer-control data bits of each of the first blocks being much smaller than the volume of information contained in the audio data words of each of the first blocks. The recorded signals further include a plurality of first sync codes each identifying each of the first blocks, a sequence of second sync codes identifying each sequence of the first blocks, a plurality of channels of time-division multiplexed digital still-picture video data words. The audio data words, computer-control data bits and still-picture video data words are organized into a sequence of time-division multiplexed, second blocks which are identified by a third sync code.
