Abstract:
Disclosed is an antenna device having a substrate, an antenna element for transceiving a wireless signal, an antenna signal feeding line for feeding the wireless signal, and an ion-implanted resonant pattern, which includes a first coupling pattern implanted in the substrate by an Ion-implantation process and a second coupling pattern formed at a position corresponding to the first coupling pattern with a predetermined distance therebetween, formed at an adjacent position with respect to the antenna element. As the antenna element transceives the wireless signal of the predetermined radiation frequency and generates an induction voltage, the first coupling pattern and the second coupling pattern each generates a coupled induction voltage and a capacitance therebetween, hence forming a resonance with the antenna element.
Abstract:
A flat fluorescent lamp is provided. Wherein, a discharge gas is disposed in a chamber, and a fluorescent material is disposed on a first inner wall and a second inner wall of the chamber. First electrode sets are disposed on the first inner wall, and second electrode sets aligned with the first electrodes sets are disposed on the second inner wall. A dielectric layer overlies the electrode sets. Each first electrode set comprises two first electrodes and a second electrode disposed between these first electrodes. Each second electrode set comprises two third electrodes and a fourth electrode disposed between these third electrodes. A first light-emitting area and a second light-emitting area are formed in each pair of the corresponding first and second electrode sets, and the projections of the first and second light-emitting areas on the first inner wall are not overlaid or just partially overlaid.
Abstract:
The invention is a motion training method. The motion of golf swing will be emphasized. In order to guide a golfer through a proper swing, his/her swing must be analyzed first. To analyze the swing, a set of frame photos will be needed. From those frame photos, the invented method will provide a rule based method to calculate the body mechanics/forces of the golfer. Once the body mechanics/forces are known, the system will then determine the swing is correct or incorrect. If the swing is incorrect, the system will then make suggestions to the golfer about how to correct his/her swing.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a heat adhesive biodegradable bicomponent fiber comprising a polylactic-acid-based low melting component and a high melting component, wherein the low melting component constitutes the sheath of the fiber, and the high melting component constitutes the core of the fiber. The material of the low melting component comprises unmodified polylactic acid or a blending with unmodified polylactic acid and modified polylactic acid. The modified polylactic acid is modified by blending unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, unsaturated anhydride or their derivatives with polylactic acid. The bicomponent fiber provided in this invention is biodegradable, environmentally benign and with excellent bonding performance to polylactic acid fibers, chemical fibers and cellulose fibers.
Abstract:
A home health care kit in the form of a modularized computer docking station for allowing a user to provide self-monitoring test results that are transferred to a standard desktop or laptop computer for eventual automatic communication over the Internet to the user's physician. In a preferred embodiment, the invention comprises a plurality of interconnected test modules, each configured to provide everything needed to permit a user to conduct a health-related measurement. One such measurement may be that of blood pressure and pulse rate. Another may be actual blood sugar. Still another may be hemoglobin A1C or hemoglobin and another may be cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Each module has an electronics portion and a storage portion. Each such module also has a male connector on one side and a female connector on an opposing side so that the various modules may be interconnected, one to the next in sequence. The last module in a sequence of modules may then be connected in this fashion to a USB port of the user's desktop or laptop computer using either a USB cable or by means of a wireless interface adaptor.
Abstract:
A ring binder mechanism for retaining loose leaf pages. The mechanism includes a rigid, elongate plate having a longitudinal axis. Hinge plates are supported by the plate for pivoting relative to the elongate plate. Rings for holding loose leaf pages include ring members mounted on the hinge plates and moveable between a closed position and an open position. A control structure is supported by the elongate plate and controllably pivots the hinge plates to move the ring members between the closed and open positions. The control structure has a travel bar connected to the hinge plates for moving the hinge plates between the closed and open positions. A spring biases the travel bar to a position toward the closed position of the hinge plates.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an antenna device for transceiving a wireless signal with an ion-implanted antenna pattern implanted inside a casing of an electronic device. The ion-implanted antenna pattern is connected to an antenna module of a motherboard of the electronic device in order to feed the wireless signal transceived by the ion-implanted antenna pattern, while the connection could be either by an antenna signal feeding line connected to the ion-implanted antenna pattern and the antenna module, or by an antenna coupling element coupled with the ion-implanted antenna pattern and connected to an antenna signal feeding line.
Abstract:
A sphygmomanometer cuff assembly, air pump, pressure sensor and release valve are contained in an otherwise conventional computer mouse controller. Three alternative embodiments are illustrated and discussed herein. In one such embodiment the sphygmomanometer cuff is nominally positioned within the mouse structure and is extended outside the mouse housing during the measurement. In another embodiment, the cuff is always external of the mouse structure and is easily connected to the mouse at special ports during the measurement. In yet another embodiment, the cuff is always internal of the mouse structure and is readily accessible through an aperture in the housing surface of the mouse to permit the measurement to take place. Preferably, in each of these alternative embodiments a hinged or slidable door or panel protects the cuff or cuff ports between measurements. In all of the embodiments shown herein, the sphygmomanometer cuff is configured for receiving a human finger in circumambient pressured engagement using controlled air pressure to vary the cuff/finger engagement pressure in a precise manner.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method for expressing multiple recombinant proteins in transgenic non-human mammalian milk, characterized in which human clotting factor IX gene and porcine lactoferrin gene are transferred into the mammal by gene injection and embryonic implantation to obtain expression in the milk of transgenic mammal and its filial generation. The method of this invention can maintain the stable expression of multiple recombinant proteins in the transgenic mammal during lactation and stable expression amount proximate to that of the first generation in the offsprings of the transgenic non-human mammal.
