    Abstract: A caterpillar track drawing method includes drawing a workpiece through a drawing die using a caterpillar track disposed behind the drawing die as seen in a drawing direction; and drawing a workpiece along a drawing line aligned parallel to the drawing direction while forming the workpiece by the drawing die. The caterpillar track includes circulating first and second drawing chains including chain links circulating parallel to a drawing plane.     Abstract: A method for obtaining metals of the 8th to 14th groups, in particular raw copper, comprises the following steps: i) providing and melting down a mixed feed comprising electronic waste in a smelting reactor, so that a first melt with a first metallic phase and a first slag phase is formed; ii) separating out the first slag phase from the smelting reactor; iii) refining the remaining first metallic phase by means of an oxygen-containing gas, possibly with the addition of copper-containing residual materials, so that a second, copper-enriched slag phase is formed; iv) possibly separating off the second slag phase and repeating the step; v) separating off the refined first metallic phase from the smelting reactor; and vi) adding a further mixed feed comprising electronic waste to the remaining second, copper-enriched slag phase and repeating process steps i) to vi).

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for controlling a stretch-reducing mill. Tube ends of stretched tubes are optimized by controlling one or more motors of the stretch-reducing mill. The method includes at least one outlet-side wall thickness measurement and an automatic adjustment of the value of a speed change of the motors to the tube wall thickness profile. The progression of the speed changes over time of individual or all motors is also automatically adjusted on the basis of the tube wall thickness measured values.

    Abstract: An improved apparatus for producing steel, including a lower furnace, an annular, water-cooled, fireproof lined cylindrical upper furnace, on which an upwardly closing conically tapering hat having openings can be placed. A device for post-combustion of exhaust gas during vacuum treatment of liquid steel comprises a flare stack at an exhaust outlet, means for feeding combustion gas to the flare stack, means for feeding an inert gas into the exhaust gas channel of the vacuum pump, means for ascertaining the exhaust gas volume flow and/or for measuring the exhaust gas velocity within the exhaust gas channel, means for analyzing the exhaust gas composition, means for metering the combustion gas and the inert gas, and means for feedback control of the metering of the combustion gas and/or the inert gas dependent on the exhaust gas composition.
