Abstract:
A method for adjusting audio being outputted through a beam forming loudspeaker array. Program audio is rendered to drive the loudspeaker array to produce sound beams having i) a main content pattern that is aimed at a listener, superimposed with ii) several diffuse content patterns that are aimed away from the listener. In response to receiving an alert message that refers to alert audio, the portion of the program audio in the main pattern is moved into the diffuse patterns, and the alert audio is rendered to drive the loudspeaker array so that the portion of the program audio in the main pattern is replaced with the alert audio. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Abstract:
In accordance with some embodiments, a method is performed at an electronic device with a display, radio frequency (RF) circuitry, and one or more input devices. The device displays a first user interface on the display. While displaying the first user interface, the device detects a pairing request to pair a first peripheral with the electronic device. In response to detecting the pairing request, the device determines whether the first peripheral meets coupling criteria, wherein the coupling criteria require that the first peripheral is coupled to a second peripheral. In accordance with a determination that the first peripheral meets the coupling criteria, the device displays a pairing affordance that initiates pairing of the electronic device with the first peripheral. In accordance with a determination that the first peripheral does not meet the coupling criteria, the device displays information concerning coupling of the first peripheral and the second peripheral.

Abstract:
While displaying a first user interface that corresponds to a display-on state of an electronic device, the device detects a swipe gesture on a touch-sensitive surface. In response to detecting the swipe gesture: when the swipe gesture is in a first direction, the device replaces display of the first user interface with display of a camera application user interface; when the swipe gesture is in a second direction, the device replaces display of the first user interface with display of a mini application object user interface that is configured to include a plurality of mini application objects; when the swipe gesture is in a third direction, the device displays a first page of a multipage control panel user interface; and when the swipe gesture is in a fourth direction, the device displays a notifications user interface that is configured to display a plurality of notifications.
Abstract:
An electronic device with a touch-sensitive surface, a display, and tactile output generator(s) displays a user interface including a user interface element. The device detects a contact on the user interface element and an input by the contact including a movement of the contact across the touch-sensitive surface. In response to detecting the input by the contact, the device changes a position of an outer edge of the user interface element relative to a threshold position in the user interface in accordance with the movement of the contact. The device further detects that the change in the position of the outer edge of the user interface element has caused the outer edge of the user interface element to move across the threshold position. After detecting the threshold position crossing, the device generates a tactile output and moves the position of the outer edge to the threshold position.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for creating stations by adding new media streams are provided. A system and method can include a graphical interface having a group of graphical elements associated with remotely stored media streams, and an initiation object for adding new media streams. Input corresponding to a selection of the initiation object to display new stream options can be received. Input corresponding to a selection of a new stream option can be received. A selection indication of an added new media stream can be provided. Adding a new media stream can include displaying a graphical animation that adds a graphical element associated with the new media stream to the group of graphical elements on the graphical interface.
Abstract:
A host device (e.g., mobile device) and a wearable device can cooperate to provide location-specific information to a user. For example, a host device can maintain a store of location-specific information records. When the host device detects that its current location corresponds to a relevant location for one of the records, the host device can send the record (or a portion thereof) to a paired wearable device. The wearable device can present information content from the record to a human user and/or to a machine such as a scanner or wireless communication terminal.
Abstract:
An electronic device with one or more processors and memory is in communication with a display. The device, while in a first playback navigation mode, provides, to the display, video information for display; and receives an input that corresponds to a request by a user to switch to a second playback navigation mode. The video information includes information that corresponds to one or more frames of a video, a scrubber bar that represents a timeline of the video, a first playhead that indicates a current play position in the scrubber bar, and playback position markers, distinct from the first playhead, that indicate predetermined playback positions in the video. The device, in response to receiving the input, transitions from the first playback navigation mode to the second playback navigation mode; and, while in the second playback navigation mode, ceases to provide information that corresponds to the playback position markers.
Abstract:
An electronic device displays a representative image on a display. The representative image is one image in a sequence of images that includes images acquired by a camera before and after acquiring the representative image. While displaying the representative image, the device detects an input. In response to detecting the input, the device transitions from displaying the representative image to displaying a prior image in the sequence of images that was acquired by the camera before acquiring the representative image. After transitioning to displaying the respective prior image, the device displays, in sequence starting with the prior image, at least some of the images acquired by the camera before acquiring the representative image and at least some of the images acquired by the camera after acquiring the representative image.
