Abstract: Technology for an eNodeB operable to decode a sounding reference signal (SRS) received from a user equipment (UE) is disclosed. The eNodeB can decode the SRS received from the UE, wherein 5 the SRS is received using one or more SRS resources in a subframe where each SRS resource includes one or more symbols. The subframe can be an uplink subframe dedicated for SRS transmission or a short transmission time interval (sTTI) subframe used for SRS transmission. The eNodeB can determine uplink channel quality information for a channel between the eNodeB and the UE based in part on the 10 SRS.

Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate reduced density CSI (Channel State Information)-RS (Reference Signals). One example embodiment can be employed at a UE (User Equipment) and can comprise processing circuitry configured to receive and process a configuration message that comprises one or more configuration parameters for one or more CSI (Channel State Information)-RS (Reference Signal) APs (Antenna Ports) of a configurable density CSI-RS. The configuration parameters indicate a density of CSI-RS resource per Physical Resource Block (PRB) per CSI-RS AP and a PRB offset. The processing circuitry is further configured to determine a set of REs (Resource Elements) for the one or more CSI-RS APs of the configurable density CSI-RS based on the one or more configuration parameters and perform measurements on the configurable density CSI-RS from the set of REs to determine one or more CSI parameters. The one or more configuration parameters are provided per CSI-RS resource configuration.

Abstract: Herein described are apparatuses, systems, and methods for measurement and reporting of channel state information within wireless network systems. In embodiments, an apparatus for a user equipment (UE) may include memory to store a rank indicator (RI), a precoding matrix index (PMI), and a channel quality indicator (CQI) of channel state information (CSI) for the UE. The apparatus may further include circuitry to concatenate the RI, the PMI, and the CQI to produce a concatenated CSI element, generate a CSI report that includes the concatenated CSI element, and cause the CSI report to be transmitted to a base station within a single slot. If a higher layer parameter altMCS-Table is configured, and a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) is assigned by a downlink control information (DCI) format 1, 1B, 1D, 2, 2A, 2B, 2C, or 2D, the UE may, for some subframe/frame configurations, determine a number of physical resource blocks (PRBs) for the transport block as a maximum of: 1; and a floor function applied to a product of a total number of allocated PRBs, a parameter dependent on a special subframe configuration, and a scaling parameter. For other subframe/frame configurations, the UE may determine the number of PRBs for the transport block as a maximum of: 1; and the floor function applied to a product of the total number of allocated PRBs and the scaling parameter.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and circuitries are disclosed for determining Precoding Resource Block Groups (PRGs). In one example, a processor of a base station (BS) is configured to determine a plurality of PRGs that includes a number N consecutive Physical Resource Blocks (PRBs) over which a same precoder assignment is used, starting from a reference PRB. The plurality PRGs include a first boundary PRG, a second boundary PRG, and one or more other PRGs. The first boundary PRG is located at an upper boundary of a bandwidth part. The first boundary PRG comprises fewer than N PRBs when the upper boundary of the bandwidth part is not aligned with a PRG boundary. The second boundary PRG comprises fewer than N PRBs when a lower boundary of the bandwidth part is not aligned with a PRG boundary. A downlink data channel is transmitted to a UE in accordance with the precoder assignments.

Abstract: Described is an apparatus of an Evolved Node-B (eNB). The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry and a second circuitry. The first circuitry may be operable to determine a first Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) sequence and a second SRS sequence. The second circuitry may be operable to process a first Uplink (UL) transmission from the first UE incorporating the first SRS sequence over a first set of subcarrier frequencies. The second circuitry may also be operable to process a second UL transmission from the second UE incorporating the second SRS sequence over a second set of subcarrier frequencies. The second SRS sequence may comprise at least a first block that overlaps the first set of subcarrier frequencies and a second block that does not overlap the first set of subcarrier frequencies.

Abstract: Embodiments include apparatuses, methods, and systems that may be used in a UE in a mobile communication network to communicate with a gNB. An apparatus may include a memory and processing circuitry coupled with the memory. The processing in circuitry may cause coarse time and frequency synchronization information, obtained from primary and secondary synchronization signals (PSS/SSS), to be stored in the memory. Based on the coarse time and frequency synchronization information, the processing circuitry may decode a physical broadcast channel to obtain a first system information, and may acquire a second system information based on the first system information. Based on the first and second system information, the processing circuitry may cause a transmission of a PRACH, to trigger a transmission of a TRS by the gNB. Other embodiments may also be described and claimed.
