The method and system transmits a data packet to multiple slave devices across a UWB wireless network, and detects the reception of any acknowledgement transmissions. In addition, the method and system retransmit the data packet to at least one of the slave devices when an acknowledgment is not detected for each of the slave devices. The acknowledgments may be received from the UWB network.

In at least one example implementation, an apparatus may comprise at least a control entity and a communication entity. The control entity may transmit a command to the communication entity, the command instructing the communication entity to set certain operational parameters. The communication entity may then send a response to the command, and the control entity may determine if the certain operational parameters have been set in the communication entity based on the response. If the certain operational parameters have been set, the control entity may initiate a first device discovery mode in the apparatus. Alternatively, a second device discovery mode may be initiated by the control entity if it is determined that the certain operational parameters have not been set in the communication entity.

Upon reception of an apparatus detection packet, the apparatus may transmit one or more messages via wireless communication (e.g., execute an extended inquiry response procedure) comprising at least the data.

    摘要: A system for automating connection management in a manner that may be transparent to any actively communicating applications operating in a Network on Terminal Architecture (NoTA). An application level entity may access another node by making a request to a high level communication structure via an interface. The high level structure may interact with a lower level structure configured to manage communication by establishing communication with another device via one or more transports. In at least one embodiment, provisions may be made to guard against data being lost when a transport fails, including storing data that is passed from a transport-independent buffer to a transport-specific buffer in case the transport fails. When a failure occurs, the stored data may readily be forwarded for sending using another transport.
