A receive circuit (362) is coupled to receive each data signal of the second plurality of data signals from a remote transmitter on the respective transmit frequency in the predetermined sequence. The receive circuit applies the second plurality of data signals to the signal processing circuit.

    摘要: The present invention provides an enhanced channel estimator for use with an orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM) receiver employing scattered pilot channel estimates. In one embodiment, the enhanced channel estimator includes a time interpolation estimator configured to provide time-interpolation channel estimates having at least one image for a portion of carriers having the scattered pilot channel estimates. The enhanced channel estimator also includes a frequency interpolation estimator coupled to the time interpolation estimator and configured to provide frequency-interpolation channel estimates for each carrier based on image suppression through balanced-error filtering.

    摘要: A method for providing interference suppression in a communication device includes receiving a signal, determining if the received signal comprises a Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying (GMSK) or an 8 phase shift keying (8PSK) signal. Over sampling and inphase and quadrature phase separation with real-valued signal processing on the received signal is performed whenever the received signal is determined to be a GMSK signal. Oversampling with complex-valued signal processing on the received signal is performed whenever the received signal is determined to be an 8PSK signal. A receiver is also disclosed that provides for interference suppression.

    摘要: A system and method for channelization and data multiplexing in ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless communication system is described. The spectrum allocated for UWB in a multi-band OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplex) system is subdivided into various bands. A set of time frequency codes (TFC's) is defined, wherein each code specifies one of a plurality of unique band versus time sequences for a particular band group, for sequential data symbols of a given piconet. The separation of data words from multiple devices or multiple simultaneously operating piconets (SOP's) is provided by a combination of FDMA and TFC's. The combination of FDMA and TFC's provides a simplified interface between the MAC and PHY.
