Abstract:
Methods employing detergent compositions effective for reducing soil redeposition and accumulation on hard surfaces are disclosed. The detergent compositions employ phosphinosuccinic acid adducts in combination with an alkalinity source and gluconic acid or salts thereof, copolymers of acrylic acid and maleic acids or salts thereof, sodium hypochlorite, sodium dichloroisocyanurate or combinations thereof.
Abstract:
The invention discloses compositions and methods for generating alkalinity in situ. The compositions and methods relate to the use of a fabric source containing a decomposition agent to catalyze the decomposition of a dilute peroxygen source. The methods provide a highly alkaline cleaning composition produced at a desired time and place of use. Methods of cleaning are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Solid detergent compositions according to the present invention include at least one alkali metal silicate, at least one polycarboxylic acid, at least one saccharide or sugar alcohol and water. Suitable saccharides include sucrose, fructose, inulin, maltose and lactulose, and may be present in the composition in a concentration of at least 0.5 wt %. Compositions according to certain embodiments form stable solid block detergent compositions that do not swell significantly even when subjected to elevated temperatures.
Abstract:
Stability enhancement agents for use in a solidification matrices and solid detergent compositions are described. Stability enhancement is provided by a hydratable salt, water and phosphinosuccinic acid (PSO) derivative binding agents forming a dimensionally stable composition. Preferred phosphinosuccinic acid (PSO) derivatives include phosphinosuccinic acid and mono-, bis- and oligomeric phosphinosuccinic acid (PSO) derivatives. The stability enhancement composition for use in a solid detergent and solid detergent compositions are preferably biodegradable and substantially free of phosphate and NTA-free.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a solid, enzymatic detergent compositions and methods of making and using the same. In a preferred embodiment, the detergent compositions are particularly useful for cleaning medical and dental instruments. In a preferred embodiment the compositions are particularly use for cleaning ware.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to hard surface cleaning compositions, methods of making the hard surface cleaning compositions, and methods of using the hard surface cleaning compositions. In particular, the hard surface cleaning compositions have reduced surface tension for cleaning surfaces with low surface free energy. Preferably, the hard surface cleaning compositions have low contact angles on a variety of surfaces.
Abstract:
Solid laundry softening compositions and applications of use are disclosed. Solid laundry softening compositions combine quaternary ammonium compounds with an inorganic carrier to provide a flowable powder for solidification in a pressed or extruded solid composition. A high loading of quaternary ammonium compound in the inorganic carrier, including an inorganic salt, can be further combined with softening boosters, processing aids, surfactants, and/or additional functional ingredients to provide stable solid compositions.
Abstract:
Multipurpose acidic compositions for cleaning and/or sanitizing are provided. The acidic compositions are liquids that remove polymerized soils, hard water deposit (e.g., calcium carbonate), soap scum, rust and other stains (e.g., coffee and tea), including assisting in general cleaning of difficult soils, such as fats, oils, cosmetics, and other difficult soils. The acidic compositions can include at least one organic acid and a solvent or solvent system, and if desired, can be PPE free compositions. Methods for using the acidic compositions as pre-treatments, soaks and/or application in machine and manual warewash are also provided. Methods for using the acidic compositions for removing polymerized oils, carbonized soils, fats, oils, stains (e.g., coffee and tea), hard water scale/deposits, and cosmetics are also provided.
Abstract:
The invention relates to solidification of liquid amine oxide, betaine, and/or sultaine surfactants with a carrier to form a solidified surfactant composition. In particular, the invention relates to solidification of liquid surfactants utilizing drying device(s), wherein the feed composition contains at least one liquid surfactant and a carrier to form a solidified surfactant composition. The solidified surfactant compositions can be useful in various cleaning compositions.
Abstract:
A solid block detergent composition is described which can be dispensed with a water spray to form an aqueous detergent for cutting and removing grease, removing and suspending soils and rinsing easily leaving cleaned ware. The solid block detergent contains a neutralized sulfonated anionic surfactant in combination with various processing aids to optimize soil removal in a formulation that can be pressed for form a solid.
