    摘要: Between a data recording/playback device and a data storage device, CBC-mode encryption processing is executed which encrypts a plurality of encryption keys of content which correspond to sectors. The encrypted data is stored in a header corresponding to the content. The CBC-mode encryption processing is executed by using a storage key unique to media in which the content is stored. For using the content, only by decrypting the key data in media in which mutual authentication is established, the content can be used, so that highly-secure key storage is implemented.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for testing a semiconductor integrated circuit device is described. During an aging test of the integrated circuit device, a situation, in which latch up of the semiconductor integrated circuit device can occur, is intermittently created by intermittently supplying a pulse of a power supply voltage V.sub.b, which is higher than a normal voltage V.sub.a in accordance with a rated power supply voltage of the tested integrated circuit device. The power supply to the tested semiconductor integrated circuit device is temporarily cut off when latch up occurs. If a second latch up occurs after a restart of the aging test, it is determined that there is an abnormality in the tested semiconductor integrated circuit device. The power supply to the tested semiconductor integrated circuit device is permanently cut off in response to this determination. This prevents damage to the test-object integrated semiconductor device and permits later determination of the degree to which the device is latch up immune.

    摘要: An improved polyarylate resin is provided, which resin comprises the following units (I) to (IV) ##STR1## the units (I) being contained in an amount of from 3 to 30 mole %, the units (II) being contained in amount of not less than 30 mole %, the units (III) being contained in an amount of not less than 30 mole %, and the units (IV) being contained in an amount of not larger than 25 mole %, each based on the total moles of the units (I) to (IV). The polyarylate resin has good mechanical strength, heat resistance, resistance to color change, transparency, moldability and flame retardancy. A resin composition comprising the polyarylate resin, a polyamide and an epoxy resin is also provided.

In the system in which encrypted content is distributed and is allowed to be utilized only by authorized users, the service provider receives a content usage-right certificate from the user, and on the condition that it is determined that data is not tampered with by verifying a digital signature of an issuing entity of the content usage-right certificate, the service provider obtains user information and content purchase information of the user from the content usage-right certificate, and performs upgrade processing by, for example, changing the usage conditions. It is thus possible to change the content usage conditions without the need for the service provider to possess usage control data.
