    摘要： A counter (or recorder) for a pill dispenser comprising two relatively moveable chassis components forming part of a pill dispensement mechanism, a pill delivery or dispensement channel and a counting (or recording) mechanism. The counting (or recording) mechanism comprises one or more actuation indicators, a ratchet pawl for incrementally advancing a first of the one or more actuation indicators and a drive mechanism for activating the ratchet pawl. The ratchet pawl is mounted to a first of the two chassis components. The drive mechanism is mounted to the second of the two chassis components.The drive mechanism is connected to a pill detect feature that can move between a positive dispensement position and a negative dispensement position if the channel is clear, the negative dispensement position being such that at least a part of the pill detect feature is positioned within or blocking the pill delivery or dispensement channel.

The mechanism comprises receiving means for receiving the medicament carrier; release means for releasing a distinct medicament dose from the medicament carrier on receipt thereof by the receiving means; an outlet, positioned to be in communication with the medicament dose releasable by the release means; indexing means for individually indexing the distinct medicament doses of the medicament carrier; and counting means for counting each time a distinct medicament dose of the medicament carrier is indexed by the indexing means. The counting means is a distinct electronic counter unit that is reversibly receivable by the medicament dispenser.

    摘要： There is provided an inhalation device suitable for dispensing medicament, particularly medicament for use in the treatment of respiratory disorders. The device comprises a body; a medicament carrier, locatable within said body; a mouthpiece, reversibly movable from a storage position wherein said mouthpiece is within the body to an in-use position wherein a portion of the mouthpiece protrudes from the body and wherein the mouthpiece is in communication with the medicament carrier to allow passage of medicament therebetween; and a mouthpiece actuator, movable relative to the body, and coupled to the mouthpiece such that movement of the mouthpiece actuator in a first direction moves the mouthpiece towards said storage position and movement of the mouthpiece actuator in an opposing direction moves the mouthpiece towards the in-use position. The device comprises no biassing means acting on the mouthpiece actuator.
