    摘要: A method for encoding images according to object shapes is provided. The method enables reduced usage of storage space when an image encoding system encodes a received image frame. The method uses a bottom-up and sequential approach for encoding coefficients. The coefficients in each subband are numbered using a tree structure, wherein level N subband is designated as a root of the whole tree, level (N−1) subbands are designated as roots of subtrees, and level (N=1) subbands are designated as terminal nodes of subtrees. The terminal nodes for one of the subtrees are numbered first, and then this subtree is numbered in the bottom-up sequence. After that, the terminal nodes for another substree are numbered, and this numbering sequence continues to number all the other subtrees until the root of the tree has been numbered, so as to allow a bottom-up encoding process for the coefficient to be performed.

The subtitle data structure of the audio/video program includes a plurality of character packages and a background image package, wherein each character package further has a header that includes the start and the end of a presenting time stamp (PTS), X-Y coordinates of the character, X length, Y length and a color (or colors) of the character, as well as pixel data for displaying the character.     摘要: A system and method thereof for capturing and reconstructing a dynamic 3D ultrasound image of a blood vessel are provided. The present system includes a ultrasound transducer, a motor positioning system, an electrocardiograph, a microprocessor for processing ultrasound images and signals capturing by the ultrasound transducer, and a monitor displaying the dynamic 3D ultrasound image. The motor positioning system controls the ultrasound transducer to capture 2D ultrasound images of the blood vessel at several locations in a predetermined urea. During the capturing process, capturing times, electrocardiograms and 3D locations of those captured 2D ultrasound images are simultaneously recoded. Finally, those captured 2D ultrasound images are reconstructed to the dynamic 3D ultrasound image of the blood vessel according to the time bases based on the phases of the electrocardiograms.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for lossless audio compression/decompression through entropy coding are provided. The apparatus comprises a buffer, a time-axis predictor, and a bit-allocation entropy coder/decoder, wherein the time-axis predictor is capable of subtracting the predicted value of a current input signal value from its original value, thereby generating a predicted error signal. The predicted error signal is then input into the bit-allocation entropy decoder in accordance with a coding guideline, and in turn is coded into data blocks with different lengths. Further, the data blocks after entropy coding comprise a 32-bit header and the real data following the header, wherein the real data is substantially a discrepancy between the prediction error of the data and the minimum value of each data block.
