摘要： A method for repairing video/audio files of multimedia video/audio disks is provided. The disclosed method may repair the fields with errors in the video/audio files after recording by utilizing the rewritable characteristic of rewritable optical disks. The errors caused by the video/audio instantaneous editing and recording platform may be reduced according to the disclosed method such that the repaired films may play fast forward/backward smoothly, perform Time Search function accurately, and display presentation time correctly, and are compatible to players of different specifications.

摘要： A method for repairing video/audio files of multimedia video/audio disks is provided. 摘要： A recording medium and a method for previewing and selecting digital audio/video data unit on the recording medium are provided. The recording medium includes an audio/video pack of the original film, an audio/video pack of the preview film, a background page, and a page control descriptor. After having received a switch button information from a user, a medium reproducing system reads, de-multiplexes, and decodes the information correspond to a specified audio/video pack of the preview film. The medium reproducing system also composes the decoded video data of the background page and the decoded video data of different resolutions to output to a display.

The method includes: providing an object of the sub-picture, forming a binary bit map of the object, and determining whether the number of bits having a first binary value is greater than the number of bits having a second binary value in the binary bit map. The method further includes: determining whether it is necessary to transform the binary bit map into a transformed binary bit map so that the number of bits having the first binary value is smaller than the number of bits having the second binary value in the transformed binary bit map, and determining a compression rule by determining the most significant two bits of a section of consecutive bits in the binary bit map or the transformed binary bit map.

摘要： The present invention provides a medium for storing a subtitle data structure of an audio/video program and a method for displaying the same. The subtitle data structure of the audio/video program includes a plurality of character packages and a background image package, wherein each character package further has a header that includes the start and the end of a presenting time stamp (PTS), X-Y coordinates of the character, X length, Y length and a color (or colors) of the character, as well as pixel data for displaying the character. Compared with prior art, using the subtitle data structure of the present invention can considerably save the required medium capacity for storing the subtitle data.

摘要： A description data structure of a menu stored in an audio/video disc and a method for using the same are provided. The description data structure comprises a navigation data packet, a menu packet, and a program packet, wherein the menu packet further comprises a first header, a background image packet, a button 1 packet, a button 2 packet, etc. Moreover, each button packet comprises sub-picture information, and the navigation data packet comprises a button address packet for storing the address information of each button packet. By using the description data structure, the present invention allows not only the audio/video disc to be consumed less capacity for displaying images, but the use of a mask control program stored in the audio/video disc to be cancelled as well when highlighting a selected text in the menu, thereby expediting the processing of the stored data in the audio/video disc.

摘要： A memory arrangement method and system for AC/DC prediction in video compression applications based on parallel processing is disclosed. The method and system achieves optimum operating efficiency for data operation and reading based on parallel computing characteristics (Single Instruction Multiple Data (SIMD)) of an operation unit of the system. Additionally, the method transplants a VC-1 video compression system running in an operating system (the Windows operating system, for example) to a system platform using a digital signal processor (DSP) as an operation unit and implements a real-time VC-1 encoder according to parallel computing characteristics of a hardware core of the system platform.

摘要： A pixel data transformation method that can improve the display quality of a text image in a multi-view autostereoscopic display apparatus is provided. The pixel data transformation method includes following steps. The color values of a first and a second original pixels adjacent to each other are obtained. The first and the second original pixels are replaced respectively with a first and a second pixel arrays according to the color value of the first and the second original pixels. Edge pixels on adjoining sides of the first and the second pixel arrays are combined, wherein a color value of each of the combined pixels is a sum of color values of the two corresponding edge pixels on adjoining sides of the first and the second pixel arrays.
