    Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of communications, and in particular, to a method and related equipment for sending signaling. The method includes: when a power consumption preference of a user equipment is changed to lower power consumption, determining whether a first timer used for restricting sending of a lower power consumption preference indication expires, and if a determination result is yes, sending a lower power consumption preference indication to a base station; and when the power consumption preference of the user equipment is changed to higher power consumption, sending a higher power consumption preference indication to the base station, or determining whether a second timer used for restricting sending of a higher power consumption preference indication expires, and if a determination result is yes, sending a higher power consumption preference indication to the base station. The present invention may improve user experience.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a mobility management method, user equipment, and a base station. The mobility management method may include: receiving, by the user equipment (UE) in a connected state, a source identifier of the UE from a first base station, where the source identifier is used to uniquely identify the UE in the first base station; entering, by the UE, a low-overhead state after satisfying a low-overhead activation condition; storing, by the UE in the low-overhead state, a connection context of the UE in the connected state, and camping on a cell according to a cell reselection criterion in a moving process; and reporting, by the UE when satisfying a first preset condition, the source identifier to a second base station to which a second cell belongs, where the second cell is a serving cell on which the UE currently camps.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide random access user equipment, including: a receiving module, configured to receive a notification message sent by a base station, where the notification message is used to instruct the user equipment UE to execute a random access procedure; a processing module, configured to determine, according to a configuration parameter in the notification message received by the receiving module, a PRACH resource used to execute the random access procedure; and a sending module, configured to send a random access code to the base station on the PRACH resource determined by the processing module; where the receiving module is configured to receive a random access response message sent by the base station. The embodiments of the present invention further provide a random access method. The present invention has an advantage that executing the random access procedure on an unlicensed spectrum can be implemented.

    Abstract: A user equipment obtains configuration information used to detect a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) value of a signal on an unlicensed frequency, samples the signal on the unlicensed frequency at a sampling interval included in the configuration information to obtain RSSI values of the signal on the unlicensed frequency sampled at sampling moments. The user equipment determines statistics on the RSSI values of the signal on the unlicensed frequency within a statistical window, obtains an RSSI value statistical result of the signal on the unlicensed frequency based on the statistics, and reports the RSSI value statistical result to a base station.

    Abstract: Embodiments provide a paging method and apparatus. The method includes receiving, by user equipment (UE), a system message broadcast by a base station, where the system message carries a system parameter and configuration information of a paging message, and the configuration information includes time-frequency information of the paging message. The method also includes determining, by the UE, a paging cycle, a paging frame (PF) and a paging occasion (PO) subframe according to the system parameter, and determining, by the UE according to the configuration information, a time-frequency resource occupied by the paging message in the PO subframe.     Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a multi-carrier measurement configuration method and apparatus, so as to resolve a problem in the prior art that when UE aggregates multiple carriers, a carrier measurement manner cannot be configured, applicability is relatively low, and carrier aggregation efficiency of the UE is reduced.
