Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of communications, and in particular, to a method and related equipment for sending signaling. The method includes: when a power consumption preference of a user equipment is changed to lower power consumption, determining whether a first timer used for restricting sending of a lower power consumption preference indication expires, and if a determination result is yes, sending a lower power consumption preference indication to a base station; and when the power consumption preference of the user equipment is changed to higher power consumption, sending a higher power consumption preference indication to the base station, or determining whether a second timer used for restricting sending of a higher power consumption preference indication expires, and if a determination result is yes, sending a higher power consumption preference indication to the base station. The present invention may improve user experience.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a mobility management method, user equipment, and a base station. The mobility management method may include: receiving, by the user equipment (UE) in a connected state, a source identifier of the UE from a first base station, where the source identifier is used to uniquely identify the UE in the first base station; entering, by the UE, a low-overhead state after satisfying a low-overhead activation condition; storing, by the UE in the low-overhead state, a connection context of the UE in the connected state, and camping on a cell according to a cell reselection criterion in a moving process; and reporting, by the UE when satisfying a first preset condition, the source identifier to a second base station to which a second cell belongs, where the second cell is a serving cell on which the UE currently camps.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide random access user equipment, including: a receiving module, configured to receive a notification message sent by a base station, where the notification message is used to instruct the user equipment UE to execute a random access procedure; a processing module, configured to determine, according to a configuration parameter in the notification message received by the receiving module, a PRACH resource used to execute the random access procedure; and a sending module, configured to send a random access code to the base station on the PRACH resource determined by the processing module; where the receiving module is configured to receive a random access response message sent by the base station. The embodiments of the present invention further provide a random access method. The present invention has an advantage that executing the random access procedure on an unlicensed spectrum can be implemented.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for reporting user equipment assistance information, a user equipment, and a base station. The method includes: if a configuration in a user equipment UE for forbidding sending UE assistance information is not started or is closed, sending, by the UE, the UE assistance information to a base station; or, if a configuration in a UE for allowing sending UE assistance information is started, sending, by the UE, the UE assistance information to a base station. The foregoing method does not increase a signaling overhead of an air interface, and meanwhile, enables a base station to better optimize performance of a UE according to UE assistance information.

Abstract: A user equipment obtains configuration information used to detect a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) value of a signal on an unlicensed frequency, samples the signal on the unlicensed frequency at a sampling interval included in the configuration information to obtain RSSI values of the signal on the unlicensed frequency sampled at sampling moments. The user equipment determines statistics on the RSSI values of the signal on the unlicensed frequency within a statistical window, obtains an RSSI value statistical result of the signal on the unlicensed frequency based on the statistics, and reports the RSSI value statistical result to a base station.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a paging method and apparatus. Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a data transmission method, a base station, and a user equipment (UE), wherein a primary base station configures a data transmission parameter for a secondary base station, to assist the secondary base station to perform uplink and downlink data transmission for the UE. Therefore, the primary base station and the secondary base station transmit and receive data according to the same data transmission parameter, and there is no need to perform extra processing on the data transmitted and received by the secondary base station, that is, the secondary base station can only reserve simple buffering, encapsulating, and transceiving functions, or even only reserve buffering and transceiving functions, so that a protocol design of the secondary base station is simplified, and cost of the secondary base station, especially cost of a micro base station serving as the secondary base station is reduced.
