摘要: A tube-joining apparatus capable of stably and reliably joining tubes where liquid is contained and sealed. In a tube joining apparatus, a first clamp (6) and second clamp (7) for pressing and holding tubes (8, 9) are arranged in a contact state. When a second moving mechanism is driven to separate the second clamp (7) from the first clamp (6), the first clamp (6) is slid on the tubes by a shaft (121) supporting the first clamp (6) in a vertically movable manner and is moved from a first position (P1) to a second position (P2). The tubes are squeezed with a pressing force being gradually increased while the tubes are slid between slants (67, 77) of an engagement portion (68) and second engagement portion (78). Residual liquid in the tubes is removed from inside the tubes by the squeezing operation of the first clamp 6. The tubes from which the residual liquid is removed are cut by a cutting plate (41), the tubes are moved by first and second moving mechanisms, and then the tubes are joined.

摘要: A system includes an address conversion table, block state table and address register. The address conversion table indicates relationship (correspondence) between logical blocks and physical blocks of a flash memory. The block state table indicates whether or not effective data has been written for each of the physical blocks. The address register preserves a logical address at which data was written the preceding time, and physical block numbers of a source and a destination. When “write start” is requested, new data is additionally written after former pages of the source block have been copied to the destination block. When “continued write” is requested, continued data is written into a page continuous to the page where the new data is written in the destination block. When “write end” is requested, pages of the source block are copied to unwritten pages of the destination block respectively.

摘要: The invention relates to coating composition, coated articles of manufacture, and to the formation of the coated articles. The coating is an energy-beam set resin containing fluid containing heat-expandable, fluid-encapsulating hollow spheres in the resin. The coating of a substrate, such as a communication line material, is accomplished by coating the material with a resin mixture containing expandable spheres and then exposing the coated material to an energy-beam source for a period of time to cure the resin and expand the spheres. The coating is applied to at least one filament of a communication line material. Such filaments can be gathered into bundles which are first extrusion coated with a thermoplastic polymer before being coated with the resin mixture. The composition of the resin material can be varied by changing the volume percent of the hollow spheres present in the resin mixture.

摘要: An interlayer insulating film is disposed above an image pickup region and a peripheral region of the semiconductor substrate. An opening is formed in the interlayer insulating film at a position overlying a photoelectric conversion portion. A waveguide member is formed above the image pickup region and the peripheral region of the semiconductor substrate. A part of the waveguide member, which part is disposed above the peripheral region, is removed such that the interlayer insulating film is exposed.

摘要: A method of limiting the use of software determines, before the software is executed on hardware, whether or not the hardware has a specific configuration inherent in a specific kind of hardware. If it is determined that the hardware has the specific configuration, then the method allows the software to be executed on that hardware. Otherwise, the method runs the software with a penalty incorporated therein such as to substantially be unusable. This allows the software to be correctly executed only by the specific kind of hardware.
