    摘要: A disk brake assembly includes a rotary brake disk rotatable with a wheel and a mounting member fixed to a stationary member of a vehicle. A guide member is fixed at one end portion to the mounting member. A caliper member having a tubular portion slidably supported on the guide member is movable in an axial direction with the caliper member straddling a portion of the brake disk and having a fluid actuator provided with a piston on one side thereof to press an inner brake pad against one face of the brake disk and a reaction portion on the opposite side thereof to press an outer brake pad against the other face of the brake disk. The outer brake pad has a projection portion projected outwardly of the brake disk at the center of its backing plate and a spring member is disposed between the outer brake pad and the reaction portion and rigidly supported the outer brake pad on the caliper member. The spring member urges the outer brake pad outwardly of the brake disk and has a center clipping portion rigidly and elastically clipped to the projection portion. A pair of arm portions extend from both ends of the center clipping portion and engage with the reaction portion so as to decrease the diameter of the center clipping portion. A rising portion of the spring elastically engages with an outer surface of the reaction portion at the end of the arm portions.

    摘要: A disc brake assembly includes a brake disc rotated with a wheel in a body, a pair of brake pads disposed on opposite sides of the brake disc so as to nip the brake disc and a caliper member straddling a portion of the brake disc and having a bridge portion straddling outer circumferences of the brake pads and the brake disc. The caliper member is provided with a pair of arm portions formed in approximately U-shape and straddling the outer circumference of the brake disc adjacent leading and trailing sides of the bridge portion with respect to the direction of rotation of the brake disc. The brake pads are provided with a pair of ear portions extended outwardly at opposite sides of the outer periphery thereof so as to locate the bridge portion therebetween, respectively. The ear portions are slidably supported on the arm portions in the axial direction of the brake disc and the trailing ear portions transmit the brake torque acting on the brake pads to the trailing side surface of the bridge portion.

To protect the elastic boot, a cylindrical elastic protector is arranged to contain therein the elastic boot, the elastic protector having one end coupled with a member such as a washer or a cup-shaped member fixed to the outer end of the support pin and the other end pressed into contact with an end face of the support portion of the caliper member.

    摘要: An electronically controlled fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine, the system being of the type which controls fuel injection using the charging and discharging of a capacitor and comprising engine operating parameter sensors, a capacitor, and a control unit for controlling the charging and discharging of the capacitor. The charging of the capacitor is initiated at a timing determined as a function of engine speed and throttle opening angle and the discharging thereof is initiated subsequently to the completion of the charging. The charging time period is determined by engine speed and the discharging current is determined by intake air quantity. A basic fuel injection signal is produced so as to have a pulse duration equal to the discharging time period.

    摘要: A fuel injection control for an internal combustion engine having electromagnetic fuel injectors determines a basic fuel injection time width of a fuel injection pulse signal applied to the electromagnetic fuel injectors in accordance with detected conditions of engine operation parameters, stores maximum fuel injection time width values predetermined in correspondence to values of a predetermined one of the engine operation parameters, reads one of the predetermined maximum fuel injection time width values corresponding to the values of the predetermined engine operation parameter and corrects the same in accordance with the values of the other engine operation parameters, and corrects the basic fuel injection time width in accordance with the corrected predetermined maximum fuel injection time width value, thereby controlling the air-fuel ratio at a desired air-fuel ratio under every operating condition of the engine, while simultaneously preventing a misoperation of continuous fuel supply from occuring in the electromagnetic fuel injectors as before.

    摘要: The basic fuel injection amount determined in accordance with the rpm and the amount of air drawn into an engine is corrected by first, second and third compensation amounts determined in accordance with the engine operating conditions. The second compensation amount is varied by a predetermined value in response to the output of an O.sub.2 sensor at intervals of a predetermined time. The third compensation amount is read out from the location of a non-volatile memory addressed in accordance with the engine rpm and the intake air amount, varied by another predetermined value at intervals of another predetermined time in accordance with the value of the second compensation amount and stored again in the location from which it was read out. Before starting the compensation of the fuel injection amount, the particular bit pattern stored in the non-volatile memory is checked so as to self-check the third compensation amount data in the non-volatile memory.

    摘要: In an air-to-fuel ratio feedback control system of the type in which the output detection signal of an air-to-fuel ratio detector adapted to detect the concentration of an exhaust gas constituent of an internal combustion engine is compared with a preset value in a comparison circuit whose output signal in turn is utilized to feedback control the air-to-fuel ratio of mixture supplied to the engine, the preset value of the comparison circuit is changed to another value in response to the occurrence of a condition which requires the stopping of the feedback control of the air-to-fuel ratio of mixture supplied to the engine, thereby preventing the occurrence of malfunction during transient periods such as the periods of opening and closing of the feedback control system loop.
