    Abstract: Embodiments include a method for installing a subscription profile, a terminal, and a server. The method includes obtaining, by a local profile assistant (LPA) in the terminal, metadata of a subscription profile, determining, based on an authorization file, whether use of each policy rule included in the metadata is allowed. The method further includes obtaining, by the LPA, the subscription profile when the use of each policy rule included in the metadata is allowed. The method further includes sending the subscription profile to an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) in the terminal. The method further includes determining, by the eUICC based on the authorization file, whether use of the subscription profile is allowed. The method further includes installing, by the eUICC, the subscription profile when the use of the subscription profile is allowed.

    Abstract: Embodiments provide a core network selection method, an apparatus, and a system. The method includes the following steps: obtaining first dedicated core network (DCN) information from an access network device, where the first DCN information includes information about at least one DCN that can be accessed by the access network device. The method also includes selecting a to-be-accessed DCN from the at least one DCN according to the first DCN information, and sending information about the to-be-accessed DCN to the access network device, so that the access network device determines a core network device according to the information about the to-be-accessed DCN.

    Abstract: A ProSe information transmission method for a second terminal discovering a first terminal in a roaming state. The method includes: a first ProSe entity receives a first message sent by a first terminal, where the first message carries a ProSe application identity APP ID; sends a second message carrying the ProSe APP ID to a second ProSe entity; receives a third message carrying a first identity sent by the second ProSe entity, the first identity is a codeword or mask allocated to the ProSe APP ID by the second ProSe entity, and the first identity includes a PLMN ID of the VPLMN; generates a second identity according to the first identity, where the second identity includes the first identity and a PLMN ID of an HPLMN of the first terminal; and sends a fourth message to the first terminal, where the fourth message carries the second identity.

    Abstract: An inter-user equipment discovery method, apparatus and system are disclosed. In an embodiment, the method includes sending, by first user equipment, a discovery request message to a first proximity-based service entity, wherein the discovery request message comprises initial location information of the first user equipment and receiving a discovery response message sent by the first proximity-based service entity, wherein the discovery response message comprises a first code word of the first user equipment. The method further include generating a discovery message according to location offset information and the first code word, wherein the location offset information is an offset between a current location and an initial location of the first user equipment and broadcasting the discovery message, wherein the discovery message is used by a second user equipment to determine a location of the first user equipment.
