    Abstract: Techniques for managing a wireless network are described. An example of an electronic device configured to managing a wireless network includes a radio transceiver to enable the electronic device to communicate wirelessly with a plurality of stations over a shared channel. The electronic device also includes one or more processors to generate data frames and control the radio transceiver to transmit the data frames to the plurality of stations. The one or more processors are configured to monitor operating conditions of the wireless network and compute an awake window duration based on the operating conditions. The awake window duration describes a period of time during which stations in a power save mode are required to monitor the shared channel for an Announcement Traffic Indication Message (ATIM). The one or more processors are also configured to control the radio transceiver to transmit the awake window duration to the stations.

    Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to an apparatus, method and other techniques to initiate a transaction session at a transaction session start time to communicate a transaction between a first device and a second device, receive a first frame comprising information indicating an occurrence of another transaction session between other devices and a time reservation to reserve time for the other transaction session, receive a second frame comprising second information indicating a truncation of the other transaction session at a truncation time and before an expiration of the time reservation, and shift a subsequent transaction session start time for at least one subsequent transaction session between the first device and the second device based on a difference between the transaction session start time and the truncation time.

    Abstract: This disclosure describes methods, apparatus, and systems related to media access control (MAC) range extension. A device may cause to append a training field to each of one or more beacon frames. The device may cause to send the one or more beacon frames directionally using a sector sweep to one or more responder devices during a first interval. The device may determine an extended schedule element to be sent to the one or more responder devices, the extended schedule element including one or more directional antenna sectors to be used by the device during a second interval. The device may identify a first frame from a first responder device, during the second interval, wherein the first frame is received on a directional antenna sector of the one or more directional antenna sectors corresponding to an operating sector of the first responder device.

    Abstract: Channel bonding techniques for wireless networks are described. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may comprise a memory and logic for a wireless communication device, at least a portion of the logic implemented in circuitry coupled to the memory, the logic to generate a channel bonding request frame for transmission to a remote device, the channel bonding request frame to comprise first channel information indicating a plurality of locally-clear wireless channels, the logic to identify, based on second channel information comprised in a received channel bonding response frame, a bonded channel set comprising two or more of the plurality of locally-clear wireless channels, and generate a data frame for transmission to the remote device via a combined bandwidth of the bonded channel set.
