    Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) system includes a flexible substrate that includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion overlaps a first surface of a substrate. The first surface is on a first side of the RF system. The second portion overlaps a second surface of the substrate. The second surface is on a second side of the RF system. The RF system further includes an antenna disposed over the first portion of the flexible substrate. The antenna is configured to transmit/receive RF signals on the first side of the RF system. The RF system also includes a transmission line disposed on a bent region of the flexible substrate between the first portion and the second portion. The transmission line is configured to propagate the RF signals between the first portion and the second portion on the second side of the RF system.

    Abstract: An embodiment system may include a first millimeter-wave radar sensor coupled to a driver-side door of a vehicle, and a second millimeter-wave radar sensor coupled to a side-view mirror of the vehicle adjacent to the driver-side door. The first millimeter-wave radar sensor may be configured to produce a first set of radar data indicative of a presence of an object within a first field of view, and the second millimeter-wave radar sensor may be configured to produce a second set of radar data indicative of a presence of the object within a second field of view. The system may further include a processing circuit coupled to the first millimeter-wave radar sensor and the second millimeter-wave radar sensor, and a controller coupled to the processing circuit, the controller being configured to control an operation of the vehicle based on a control signal provided to the controller by the processing circuit.

    Abstract: A wireless multimode system includes: an array of N antenna elements that includes a first portion of M antenna elements and a second portion of L antenna elements; M transmission amplifiers configured to transmit, via the M antenna elements, frames of transmit data, where the frames of transmit data include transmit radar signals and transmit communication signals; M reception amplifiers configured to receive, via the M antenna elements, frames of receive data, where the frames of receive data includes receive communication signals; and L reception amplifiers configured to receive, via the L antenna elements, receive radar signals; and a resource scheduler configured to allocate bandwidth for transmit radar signals and transmit communication signals within the frames of transmit data based on one or more predetermined parameters.
