Abstract: According to an aspect, a detection apparatus includes a touch detection surface having two dimensions, a touch detection unit and a force detection unit. The touch detection unit includes: first electrodes extending along a first direction; and a first signal output unit configured to output a first signal indicating a position of the touch operation in a second direction. Each first electrode includes divided electrodes provided in the first direction. First detection regions each provided by bundling the divided electrodes arranged in the second direction are set. The force detection unit includes a base electrode configured such that distances between the base electrode and the respective divided electrodes change when the first electrodes bend according to the applied force applied. The force signal is a signal based on electrostatic capacitances obtained by individual detection.

Abstract: A noise immunity of a detected capacitance is prevented or inhibited from lowering on a driving electrode different in width from the other driving electrodes, provided in an input device. A touch panel serving as an input device has a plurality of driving electrodes extending in an X-axis direction and arranged in a Y-axis direction intersecting with the X-axis direction, and a driving electrode arranged outside one side of an arrangement of the driving electrodes and extending in the X-axis direction. Further, the touch panel TP1 has a plurality of detecting electrodes extending in the Y-axis direction and arranged in the X-axis direction. The width of the driving electrode is smaller than the widths of the driving electrodes and the detecting electrode includes an expanding portion for expanding the area of the detecting electrode on the side opposite to the plurality of driving electrodes via the driving electrode.

Abstract: A touch panel, a display panel, and a display unit achieving prevention of erroneous detection caused by external noise. The touch panel includes: a plurality of detection scan electrodes extending in a first direction and a plurality of detection electrodes facing the plurality of detection scan electrodes and extending in a second direction which intersects the first direction. A ratio of fringe capacitance to total capacitance between one or more selected detection scan electrodes and a first detection electrode is different from a ratio of fringe capacitance to total capacitance between the one or more selected detection scan electrodes and a second detection electrode. The one or more selected detection scan electrodes are selected, in a desired unit, from the plurality of detection scan electrodes, to be supplied with a selection pulse, and each of the first and the second detection electrodes is selected from the plurality of detection electrodes.
