Abstract:
Gum applying apparatus including a pair of gum applying dies mounted on a common shaft for applying gum along and adjacent to the side edges of an envelope blank during the manufacture of the blank into an envelope. Each of the dies includes a central circular plate and a pair of circular sectors spaced from each other about the circumference of the circular plate. The sectors are in contact with a gummer roll which transfers gum from a container to the sectors. The gum is applied by the sectors to spaced envelope blanks on a conveyor belt beneath the sectors. The space between the sectors is adjacent the conveyor when the space between the blanks on the conveyor traverses the gum applying station thereby precluding gum from being applied to the belt running through the station; but enabling the gum to be applied continually to the envelope blanks. Means are also disclosed to control the amount of gum transferred to the gum applying die sectors.
Abstract:
An ice bag for a cooler that include a bag with an open top. A flap having a top edge and a bottom edge, wherein the top edge of the flap is coupled to a portion of a periphery of the open top of the bag. A hand sleeve has an opening for a hand, wherein a rear periphery portion of the hand opening is coupled to the bottom edge of the flap. A user can insert a hand into the hand sleeve to grab ice cubes in the ice bag and transfer the ice cubes into a container.

Abstract:
The present application is directed to a method and system for providing an insured's health insurance policy information to whom it may concern as desired by accessing an internet data base program to locate the insured's policy information and using the information to determine policy coverage for the insured according to the type of services to be rendered, fees associated there with, and the type of insurance policy held by the insured.
Abstract:
The present invention provides DNA polymerases having increased efficiency of amplification of long amplicons. The present invention also provides for methods of amplifying target nucleic acid molecules with the DNA polymerases for increasing the efficiency of amplification of long amplicons.
Abstract:
A spinal fixation and fusion assembly includes a bone anchoring member, a cylindrical rod and a cap. The bone anchoring member comprises an elongated body that is made entirely of bone type material. The elongated body includes a main shaft, a conical shaped distal end, a flared out proximal end, and a through-opening extending along an axis from the proximal end to the distal end. The cylindrical rod is shaped and dimensioned to be received within the through-opening and is made entirely of metal. The cap is made entirely of metal and is attached to a proximal end of the cylindrical rod.
Abstract:
Methods, computer program products, systems and data structures for generating a signature for a portion or portions of a content source are described. The signature can be generated by identifying a portion or portions of a content source, and determining a signature that defines the portion or portions. If the source is updated, the signature can be retrieved and compared to elements in the updated source. If an element in the updated source matches information included in the signature, content corresponding to the matching element is displayed.
Abstract:
An insulating can cooler, which plays sounds. The cooler consists of a cylindrical enclosure, which is open on top and enclosed on the bottom. The cooler also consists of a sound device that will activate when a can is inserted in or extracted from the cooler or by pressing external buttons. The recording device will be activated when one button is held in for a period of time.
Abstract:
A prosthetic spinal implant having a securing member for fixing the implant relative to an adjacent bone. In one form, the securing member is deployable into a portion of the vertebral space for affixing the implant between the vertebrae. The securing member may be disposed substantially within the body of a bearing member of the implant when the securing member is in an undeployed orientation. In other forms, the securing member is provided separately from the implant such that it may be inserted into the intervertebral space after the implant has been placed in an implanted orientation between the vertebrae. In such forms, the securing member is configured for ease of insertion between an outer bearing surface of the implant and an adjacent bone via linear or rotary motion.
Abstract:
Methods, computer program products, and systems are described to assist a user in identifying a number of potential areas of interest (sometimes referred to as clippings or web clips) and presenting the areas in a uniform display environment. In some implementations, the user clippings are presented to the user in a clipview according to user preferences.
