    摘要: An apparatus facilitating a direct memory copy among devices may include a processor and memory storing executable computer code causing the apparatus to at least perform operations including exchanging content with a device via a near field communication responsive to entering a proximity of the device. The computer program code causes the apparatus to detect an item(s) of data of a block(s) of local memory for remote access and negotiate, via communications across a first interface, with the device to determine whether the device desires receipt of the item(s). The computer program code causes the apparatus to provide, via a second interface, the item(s) of data to the device, within the proximity, responsive to a received indication from the device requesting the item(s) to enable the device to store the item(s) of data in an agreed upon block(s) of remote memory.     摘要: In a mobile environment, a mobile device includes an attached memory stick (removable memory) having a high speed—memory and storage with direct memory access embodied in an integrated circuit chip coupled to an ultra-wideband (UWB) transceiver. The mobile device communicates with other like base devices, portable or stationary, via UWB transmissions using pulse bursts up to 1 Gbit per second. Data transfers between the devices occur in the simplex or duplex mode, after a low power communication connection is established between the devices. The communication link between the devices is in the range of 10-20 meters. The communication system allows existing device bus interfaces (which are much slower than ultra-wideband transmissions) to communicate between the fast read/write cycles of the memories integrated within the memory stick. Duplex transmission can occur by pulse interleaving sending side transmitters and receiving side transmitters.

    摘要: An approach is provided for managing access rights of users to information spaces using signatures stored in a memory tag. A signature manager caused reading of a memory tag to initiate a request, from a device, for an initial access to an information space. The request includes an authorization signature associated with the device. The signature manager determines a level of access to the information space by comparing the authorization signature against a lattice of signature primitives associated with the information space. The signature manager then modifies the authorization signature based on the determination and stores the modified authorization signature for validation of subsequent access to the information space by the device.

    摘要: A method of manipulating the header field in an ATM cell. In accordance with the method, the ATM cell is transferred via an interface where each byte of the cell appears in a parallel form on a plurality of parallel data conductors and where information on the start of cell (SOC) is also available. In order to be able to carry out header bit manipulation in a simple manner at such an interface, data conductors corresponding to the bits to be manipulated are led to a circuit carrying out the manipulation, and the other data conductors are led past the circuit. The bit to be manipulated is searched for by counting from start of cell up to the byte containing the bit to be manipulated, after which the bit is manipulated. An output conductor corresponding to the manipulated bit is led from the manipulation circuit to its own position among the data conductors that bypassed the circuit.
