    摘要: Electroluminescence elements mounted on a substrate of an OLED display device are sealed by a protective film made of synthetic resin with chemical reaction curing in place of a sealing can. The protective film is formed such that a thickness thereof is equal to or larger than a thickness of the substrate. Alternatively, the protective film is formed by laminating a plurality of resin films which differ in one of the water absorption ratio, the elastic modulus and the hardness. With respect to the protective film which is formed of a plurality of laminated films, compared to the protective film at the electroluminescence element side, the protective film which covers the former protective film has the water absorption ratio, the elastic modulus or the hardness larger than the water absorption ratio, the elastic modulus or the hardness of the former protective film. Due to such a constitution, it is possible to reduce the thickness of the OLED display device without damaging the moisture-proof property of the electroluminescence elements.

    摘要: A reflection type liquid crystal display apparatus is provided which is capable of displaying bright images by decreasing the loss of projected light. The reflection type liquid crystal display apparatus employs a polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) panel which assures a display mode (scattering or absorption mode) which does not employ a polarizing film, unlike a conventional liquid crystal panel. It has been found that such polarizing film reduce the efficiency with which the projected light is utilized. Since such a polarizing film is not used, and since the driving circuit portion which blocks the projected light and which serves as the non-opening portion can be utilized effectively for display, brightly displayed images can be obtained.

    摘要: A clutch release device for use in combination with a clutch having a declutching member that is rotatable about the axis of the clutch comprising a fixed cylindrical guide having an axis substantially coaxial with the axis of the clutch but subject to misalignment with respect thereto, and a sleeve which surrounds the guide and is slidable therealong. The sleeve is provided with an end section that extends radially outward from the sleeve. An inner ring surrounds the sleeve and is spaced radially therefrom, the inner ring also being spaced axially from the radially extending end member of the sleeve and having a driving element attached to the end opposite the end section of the sleeve for engagement with the declutching member. A housing, which surrounds the sleeve, is provided with a flange that extends radially inward between the inner ring and the end section of the sleeve, and an outer ring is secured to the inner surface of the housing opposite the inner ring and spaced therefrom to permit bearing means to be interposed between the inner and outer rings. An annular member, having a curved surface facing the flange and a plane surface facing the end section, is interposed between the housing flange and the end section of the sleeve, the annular member being movable in a radial direction while remaining in contact with the flange. Resilient means, which may be in the form of a leaf spring, is attached to the sleeve and contacts the flange to urge the flange against the curved surface of the annular member.
