摘要: A variable focal length lens has a lens system having optical anisotropy, a polarization plane control device for changing the direction of polarization of a light beam on the lens system. A detector is provided for detecting the direction of polarization of the light beam emergent from the lens or the polarization plane control device which, by a signal, controls the polarization plane control device so that only a light beam of desired direction of polarization emerges from the lens.

摘要: The invention relates to a process for producing a phosphate, which includes reacting a phosphorus pentaoxide-containing phosphorylating agent with an organic hydroxy compound, the reaction being carried out at a reaction temperature of 50 to 70° C. until the degree (w) of remaining phosphorus pentaoxide undissolved in a reaction solution, defined by the following equation (1), is reduced to 15 wt % or less: W=[1−(AVt−AVp)/AV0]×100 (1) wherein W is the degree [wt %] of remaining phosphorus pentaoxide undissolved in a reaction solution; AVt is the acid value [mg KOH/g] of the reaction solution excluding undissolved phosphorus pentaoxide in an arbitrary time; AVp is the theoretical acid value [mg KOH/g] of the phosphorylating agent excluding undissolved phosphorus pentaoxide; and AV0 is the theoretical acid value [mg KOH/g] of phosphorus pentaoxide.

摘要: The present invention provides a thickener which is superior in compounding stability and has high thickening action and a surfactant composition containing the thickener. The present invention relates to a thickener comprising a fatty acid amide ether compound (1) and to a surfactant composition comprising this thickener and at least one surfactant. 摘要: A sheet feeding apparatus in which vibration members of the running track type to form travelling waves are arranged in the vertical direction so as to face each other and a sheet sandwiched between them is fed by frictional forces is disclosed. In order to reduce the number of parts of a circuit to drive the upper and lower vibration members, the polarizing directions in the A-phase piezoelectric transducer portions of the piezoelectric transducers for the upper vibration member are opposite to the polarizing directions in the A-phase piezoelectric transducer portions of the piezoelectric transducers for the lower vibration member. Further, the polarizing directions in the B-phase piezoelectric transducer portions for the upper vibration member are the same as the polarizing directions in the B-phase piezoelectric transducer portions for the lower vibration member.

摘要: An optical output device comprising a deflector having an electrooptic crystal element provided with an electrode and controlling an electric field applied to the electrode to vary the deflection angle of a light beam passing through the crystal and projecting the beam upon a predetermined position on a recording medium and separating the reflected light from the recording medium from the light beam or/and a variable focal length lens consisting of an electrooptic crystal and which uses a condenser for controlling the focal length of the lens by an electric field applied to the crystal and focusing the light beam to the recording medium, thereby reducing the number of mechanically movable parts of the device.
