摘要: In a touch panel device for detecting a position touched by an object by sensing an attenuation or break of surface acoustic waves, in which IDTs for exciting or receiving surface acoustic waves comprising comb-like electrode fingers aligned along confronting bus electrodes are placed on a peripheral area of a substrate, drawing electrodes connected to the bus electrode positioned closer to the center of the substrate and led out to the peripheral area side of the substrate are provided. Each of the IDT regions segmented by the drawing electrodes is constituted by repetition, and the drawing electrodes are disposed so that impedance in each IDT region becomes equal.

摘要: In order to measure a scanning light cut-off region, an output of a light receiving element and a threshold value set by an MPU are compared by a comparator and a region where the former is smaller than the latter is measured as the scanning light cut-off region. During one cycle of optical scanning, this threshold value is switched in a plurality of stages according to the scanning angle. By accurately measuring the scanning light cut-off region, the correct position and size of an indicator such as a finger or pen are calculated.

摘要: An information displaying apparatus having a display unit for displaying information on a display screen 10, an indicator detector provided in the vicinity of the display screen 10 for detecting a position in a predetermined area on the display screen 10 indicated by an indicator and a size of the indicator, and an image control unit 52 for displaying an image on the screen 10 of the display unit according to the detected result by the indicator detector, wherein the image control unit 52 displays images on the display screen 10 of the display unit in different manners according to the position and/or size of the indicator detected by the indicator detector. According to this apparatus, for example, a thickness of one line can be changed and can be changed in steps during the drawing without specifying a size of a point and a thickness of a line to be drawn before the drawing operation. Moreover, subtle blur, etc. obtained in such a manner that an image is drawn by a writing brush dripped in the ink can be expressed.

摘要: A noise processing apparatus measures a first potential difference signal, between a first electrode and a second electrode that is used as a reference electrode, and measures a second potential difference signal, between the second electrode and a third electrode that is arranged on the steering unit in the apparatus. The apparatus calculates the difference between the intensities of the first potential difference signal and the second potential difference signal calculated at the predetermined intervals. The apparatus corrects the first potential difference signal or the second potential difference signal by using the calculated difference such that the intensities of the first potential difference signal and the second potential difference signal are canceled out. The apparatus calculates a differential signal indicating the difference between the first potential difference signal and the second potential difference signal by using the corrected potential difference signal, and outputs the differential signal.

摘要: A burst wave is applied to an excitation element of a touch panel main body from an oscillation section so as to excite surface acoustic waves, and the excited surface acoustic waves are received by a receiving element of the touch panel main body. The received signals are A/D converted by a receiving section, and a control section calculates the contact position and the contact width of the object in contact with the touch panel main body, based on time-series changes in the received strength. Based on the received strength of surface acoustic waves, the control section controls the wave number of the burst wave to be applied to the excitation element.
