A method and apparatus for transmitting a handover request message in a wireless communication system is provided. For service differentiation from a small cell and a macro cell, a first macro eNodeB (eNB) transmits a handover request message including a list of first services for a user equipment (UE), which are provided by the first macro eNB, and a list of second services for the UE, which are provided by a small cell eNB which has dual connectivity with the first macro eNB.

A method and apparatus for performing an X2 setup procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. An X2 gateway (GW) establishes a stream control transmission protocol (SCTP) connection with an eNodeB (eNB) based on a transport network layer (TNL) address of the X2-GW, receives an X2 setup request message from the eNB, and transmits an indication which indicates an invalidity of served cell information IE to the eNB.

A method and apparatus for transmitting cell load information in a wireless communication system is provided. A mobility management entity (MME) of an evolved UMTS terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) system receives cell load information of a cell in a universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) system, from a radio network controller (RNC) of the UMTS system, and transmits the received cell load information to a plurality of eNodeBs (eNBs) of the E-UTRAN system, respectively.

A method and apparatus for transmitting user equipment (UE) group information in a wireless communication system is provided. A source eNodeB (eNB) of a handover procedure transmits a handover request message including UE group information to a target eNB of the handover procedure when the source eNB hands over a UE to the target eNB. The UE group information is included in a UE history information IE (information element) of the handover request message.

The method includes the steps of calculating effective Doppler spread values of reception beam combinations, wherein each reception beam combination consists of two or more reception beams among a plurality of reception beams; selecting a first reception beam combination from the reception beam combinations using the effective Doppler spread values; and receiving the signal from a transmitting end using at least one reception beam included in the selected first reception beam combination.

A method and apparatus for transmitting information on a cycle of a discovery signal transmitted by a small cell in a wireless communication system is provided. An evolved NodeB (eNB) of the small cell transmits the information on the cycle of the discovery signal to a macro cell, and transmits the discovery signal according to the cycle of the discovery signal. The cycle of the discovery signal can be determined on the basis of an offset value of a system frame number (SFN) of the small cell and an X2 interface delay.

A method for performing an Inter-eNB CoMP (Coordinated Multi-Point) operation in a wireless communication system comprises receiving, by a first eNB, a message requesting initiation of a CoMP operation from a second eNB; transmitting, by the first eNB, to the second eNB a message requesting information about gain expected from a CoMP operation carried out in the second eNB; receiving, by the first eNB, the information about gain expected from the second eNB; coordinating, by the first eNB, resources for a CoMP operation based on the information of expected gain; and transmitting, by the first eNB, the resource coordination result to the second eNB.

The present document is for a wireless communication with reduced internal signaling burden in the distributed antenna system (DAS). In the proposed method, a user equipment (UE) receives signals, from the network, by multiple distributed unit (DUs) distributed within the UE, wherein the multiple DUs comprise one or more main DUs and one or more sub DUs; reports, by the sub DUs, first reception information of the signals to one of the main DUs; reports, by the one of the main DUs, second reception information of the signals to a central unit (CU) controlling the multiple DUs based on the first reception information of the signals; and determines, at the CU, which one or more DUs among the multiple DUs are to transfer the received signals to the CU based on the second reception information of the signals.
