    摘要: An ink-jet ink which contains a coloring composition which is formed by dispersing coloring particulates in a water-based medium, and the coloring particulates containing a nonionic oil-soluble polymer, a hydrophobic high boiling point organic solvent having a boiling point of 150° C. or more, and an oil-soluble dye. Further, an ink jet recording method, in which recording is carried out using an ink-jet ink which contains a coloring composition, the coloring composition being formed by dispersing coloring particulates in a water-based medium, and the coloring particulates containing a nonionic oil-soluble polymer, a hydrophobic high boiling point organic solvent having a boiling point of 150° C. or more, and an oil-soluble dye.

    摘要: An optical amplification medium doped with Er3+ ions is selected from the group of a fluoride glass, a chalcogenide glass, a telluride glass, a halide crystal, and a lead oxide based glass. The Er3+ ions are excited by light of at least one wavelength in the range of 0.96 &mgr;m to 0.98 &mgr;m. A laser or an optical amplifier includes this optical amplification medium doped with Er3+ ions. Furthermore, an optical amplification method performs an optical amplification using the optical amplifier having the optical amplification medium doped with Er3+ ions. Thus, the laser to be applied in the field of optical communication, the optical amplifier having the characteristics of low noise and high gain, and the optical amplification method can be provided.

    摘要: Image forming method is disclosed using a light-sensitive material which comprises a support and a light-sensitive layer provided thereon. The light-sensitive layer contains silver halide, a reducing agent and an ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable compound. The light-sensitive material of the present invention further contains a polymerization inhibitor releasing (PIR) compound. The polymerization inhibitor releasing compound has a function of releasing a polymerization inhibitor when the compound is heated or reacted with a base. The silver halide, the reducing agent, the polymerizable compound and the polymerization inhibitor releasing compound are preferably contained in microcapsules which are dispersed in the light-sensitive layer.
