摘要: A high voltage MOSFET device (100) has a well region (113) with two areas. The first area (110) has a high dopant concentration and the second area (112) has a low dopant concentration. Inside the well region a region of a secondary conductivity type (108) is formed. The second area (110) is typically underlying a gate region (105). The lower doping concentration in that area helps to increase the breakdown voltage when the semiconductor device is blocking voltage and helps to decrease the on-resistance when the semiconductor device is in the “on” state. The MOSFET device further has a p-top layer (108) which is disposed on the top surface of the well region and then driven into the well region by annealing the MOSFET device at a high temperature in an inert atmosphere.

摘要: A method of reading a bar code having guard bars at both sides thereof without fail even if the bar code image is highly distorted. An image region taken in by a CCD camera is scanned in horizontal and/or vertical directions to find out a first guard bar in the bar code. Then, a first scanning line for reading the bar code is set in a direction perpendicular to the first guard bar. The bar code is scanned along the first scanning line. If the first scanning line goes out of the bar code region, the first scanning line is traced back to a bar which is last read. Another scanning line starting from the last read bar and extending perpendicularly thereto is set to read the rest of the bar code. This process is repeated until the second guard bar is detected and a whole bar code is completely read. The first scanning line may be set, so that it only reads a predetermined number of bars and the rest of the bar code is read by new scanning lines starting from the last read bar. Alternatively, the bar code region is searched by preliminarily scanning the image region divided into plural rectangular sections. The bar code region is determined based on the number of brightness changes in each divided section. The first guard bar in the bar code can be easily found in this manner.

摘要: Adjustment is made of the position of a marine transportation system including a boat having a drive, a trimmable port tab and a trimmable starboard tab. The operation of the marine transportation system is monitored to provide an output distinguishing boat operation in an on-plane condition and boat operation in an off-plane condition, to provide an output distinguishing boat travel in a straight forward condition and boat travel in a turning condition and to provide an output distinguishing boat operation in a first heel condition in which the boat tilts to port and boat operation in a second heel condition in which the boat tilts to starboard. The port and starboard tabs are positioned at desired positions in response to the outputs. According to the embodiment, a heel adjustment operation of the boat is carried out during boat operation in an on-plane straight forward travel condition, only.

摘要: Disclosed is an electronic magnetic compass which is to be mounted on a small ship and which is reduced in cost and improved in performance. The electronic magnetic compass is provided with an angle sensor interlocked with a compass card so as to produce a code signal at every predetermined angle, a code converter for converting the code signal into a compass indication angle, and a signal conversion circuit for producing a deviation signal indicating a deviation between an azimuth angle signal and an indication angle signal. The compass azimuth measurement is performed with a simple configuration of an open loop system, so that the structure of an encoder for the angle sensor is so simple that the cost can be reduced so much. The azimuth angle signal and the indication angle signal can be automatically calibrated so that the measurement accuracy can be improved.
