摘要: A data transfer control device and electronic equipment that make it possible to implement high-speed data transfer with reduced overhead processing of firmware and smaller hardware. A data transfer control device that conforms to the IEEE 1394 standard comprises an arbitration circuit that permits firmware (FW) transfer after the completion of one transaction (or one packet transfer) in the continuous packet transfer, if the CPU issues an FW transfer start command during the execution of continuous hardware transfer (HW transfer) processing by a SBP-2 core. If HWStart and FWStart signals go active together, the FW transfer has priority. A header area in RAM is divided into an ordinary header area and an HW header area, and an address generation circuit switches between generating addresses for the ordinary header area and addresses for the HW header area, based on an HWDMARun signal from the arbitration circuit. A data area in RAM is divided into an ORB area and a stream area for the SBP-2 core.

摘要: A light source apparatus excites an electrodeless lamp bulb with energy of microwaves generated from a magnetron. A microwave transmission line is improved so that microwaves can be transmitted efficiently and the light source apparatus can be miniaturized. A first cylindrical member is disposed coaxially with a direction in which microwaves generated from the magnetron are transmitted, and a second cylindrical member is disposed at the center of the first cylindrical member, thereby forming a coaxial transmission line. A coaxial oscillator is formed from the position at which the microwaves are generated to a position of 1/4 of the wavelength of the microwave. Thus, a special waveguide can be removed.

摘要: One kind of housing has been formed for rear projection televisions of each screen size in inches and it has not been possible to change the size in inches for such a housing. This has reduced productivity and results in a cost increase. An upper cabinet and a lower cabinet of a rear projection television are formed separately. A screen and a mirror are provided on the upper cabinet. A main component portion for a television comprising video devices, driving and control circuits, an optical unit including a projection lens, and a light source is provided on the lower cabinet. Upper cabinets of different screen sizes in inches are assembled with a common lower cabinet to allow rear projection televisions of various sizes in inches to be easily manufactured.

摘要: A laser cutting apparatus is disclosed which includes a laser emitter capable of outputting a laser beam in pulses, a laser beam irradiation member, and a dental-crown polishing and washing member. The dental-crown polishing and washing member has an injection member through which air, water and polishing material are output toward a laser-beam-irradiated surface. A control member is provided which is capable of controlling the operation of laser emitter and dental-crown polishing and washing member. The laser beam irradiation member and injection member are combined with each other by means of an adapter disposed therebetween, thereby enabling both of laser beam irradiation member and injection member to be held and operated by a single hand. By employing this laser cutting apparatus, a high-energy laser beam can be used in the medical and dental fields for removing soft dentin to form a cavity. This apparatus does not have problems due to irradiation of a high-energy laser beam, such as the production and residue of a carbonized layer in the dentin, formation of a fused layer in the dentin, occurrence of a cavity margin having an irregular configuration, and cracking and damaging of the dental pulp attributed to a temperature rise.
